on the question of how do you know when a man is in love.

but yes im curious to hear the signs of love from both what a woman thinks and what a man knows is truth. | |

I would say you know from his eyes... The way he looks at you.... ( not associated with sex in anyway)...
The amount of time he wants to spend with you... (not associated with sex)..
But then that look can fade over time... But he still say he loves you?...
I dont know... lol.

Posted: 3/18/2008 4:35:41 AM | ok listen up i'm a guy so i know all you can do is speculiate so here goes when he feels that you are commited to him only -little signs of affection like a sneak smoochie or huggie-a card on windshield -showing ways you are thinking of him even when not together at that moment- -when you look at him in your own special way-a man is really in love when he honertly feels that you really love him for sure and that is a major factor to us- as you see we to have feelings even though we do not express them often enough -my typing is crappy so thats it for now | |

your the first ever guy ive heard ..that theory from.
Where on the other hand ive known many, many guys.... who have fallen in love .... and the woman has either not known.... or never returned that love...

so men can love more woman than 1 at once?
because some men have been known.. to tell many woman they love them..ie being married.. and telling his mistress the same..(as in words)
FRom threads ive read... and woman ive known/spoken too..
experience could say that some men will say I love you (maybe mean it at that moment).. but not mean it a week later?
so it will be interesting to see. how this thread ... aquires more on this topic..

love is when the man is there for you all the time, does the little things for you like, give u a little note saying i love you. everytime he sees you he will give you something small, he will do or try to do everything for you to make you happy. A man wants his love to be happy and will adjust everything to satisfy your needs.
thats love!! a man who doesnt change for the lady does not love the lady. A man who will change the world for his lady means HE LOVES HIS LADY!!

When I’m willing to share my past, present and future.
When I buy you the dumbest trinket and can explain why it made me think of you.
When I’m genuinely concerned about having said or done something that hurt you and ask for forgiveness.
When I’m willing to put your interest’s and well being before my own.
When I gently pull you towards me and kiss you for no apparent reason.
When I tell you you’re beautiful when you just woke up.
When I’m willing to take the time to listen to you even though it may not always be convenient.
When I’m walking with you I instinctively allow my hand to search for yours.
When I’m 1000’s of miles away and call you from a different time zone just to say I miss you.
I can go on but those are the ones that naturally came to me. | |

Posted: 3/18/2008 8:23:07 AM | Well to be honest I thought i had been in love a few times, untill i met my most recent ex, she totally re-defined how i have ever felt. I was nervous about writting a reply here because this will show on my profile, and i guess anyone intrested in me would then be wondering how they would live up to this..
But with paula, it was something totally new, she accepted and loved me totally for who i was, no fake laughter, and i didnt have to put anything one, we had a whirlwind 8 months, where both of us had problems outside the relationship and she eventually told me she didnt love me anymore, infact she didnt even fancy me anymore..
BUT.. She did do me a huge favor, she taught me what love is all about, With paula she never left my mind, she was my best friend, I adored her more that you can possibly imagine and my heart pined for her if i didnt see her for a few hours, When we made love it was something totally knew to me, never have i known that closeness, smelling her hair, the cuddles we had, the kisses and the look in her eyes would all melt me into nothingness, she made me want to be a better person, she made me feel loved, and i felt love for her from the pit of my stomach through my entire body, And when we ended i didnt hate her or blame her, Ofcourse haveing lost the love of my life hurt like hell and there are still days i miss that feeling, but the biggest dread of all i had about it was that i would also loose my best friend.. now ok i cant be the friend that she tells about her new blokes (or rather the ex that she has been in love with forever and feels the same about him as i do about her, and has got back with or will anyway haha) but to loose her as a friend would be the end of me, she still makes me laugh, and i would do anything for her, I will move on and find a new love, but this is the standard i have now set myself and i will not ever settle for anything less than what i found.
It entirely re invened the way i can feel for someone. and you know what.... I cant wait to feel that way again.. | |

He loves you when he is just happy sitting with you watching tv. Or sitting in the kitchen with you when you are doing dishes, or cooking. He loves you when he tells you that he wants to see you more often.....Trust me.......if you say you don't have any more time to give him, you will lose him.
He loves you when he takes you to the shooting range and lets you use up all his ammo without he himself taking a shot. He loves you when he takes you fishing in his boat.......and he makes sure you have a good time...before he worries about catching any fish.
He loves you when he gives himself to you....his mind and his heart. The question you really should be asking yourself........" Am I aware enough to notice?" | |

There are so many kinds of love too, in the old days they talked of the difference of courtly love, from romantic love, from familial love.
