I was thinking of organizing a day trip to St Jacobs from Toronto. We would pick a central location to meet and convoy down. People who are not in the Toronto area could always just join us down there. We would need people with cars who would be willing to take passengers. Was just wondering if there would be any interest. Any thoughts on this?

Well it looks like there is some interest so I will have to start planing something. It will be on a Saturday since the farmer's market is not open on the Sunday.

If you do go to the farmers market there you have got to stand in line at "the apple fritter company"if you like apple fritters you most definately won't be dissipointed...one more note there is ussually a sale twice a year of "exotic animals"
There should be one coming up in the next few weeks ...maybe check with management at OLEX,if I find out from my friend I will let you know what date it is ...it's just another interesting thing to see...good luck ...all I may be interested in going also and would be willing to drive

I'm in. I have never been there but I hear it is really something to see. I could also

take passengers if needed. Then again if you go in the spring I'll take the bike.

Looks like there's a lot more interest than I thought there would be. This all came about because I have a few friend's who have never been (yes Angel Eyes, one of them would be you) and I thought why not see if any others on POF would be interested. Look for a thread coming soon.

Never really knew how big a deal this town is. I live here.. and love it.. for different reasons. Still a small town, great people, and slow pace. Love it.

Great little italian bakery there as well.

Someone email me if you guys come.. I don't follow the threads well, but the email here would be fine... Not really interested in shopping in the boutiques, but if coffee is to follow, I'd be down for it. :)

mmmmmmmmmm.....is right.

Apple fritters....peanut brittle.....and coffee. Sounds like I’ll need to spend a week there. This is more than a road trip. It’s a shopping spree and Food Festival rolled into one

mmmmmmmmmmm……food.....shopping

Thanks BBF for thinking about us. Let me know if you need any help with the plans

I was actually thinking about April as it was pre-ball playing season for me but since you were one of the original peeps I was thinking about when I thought about doing this, I will look at a weekend in May...may have to cancel out of playing a tourney but that's the kind of thing you do for friends.

i'm sure this road trip will be such a success that you may have to plan a second one later in the summer when you're not busy
