| Have a SPLENDID Easter..... what will the bunny bring to your house? Posted: 3/23/2008 3:30:52 AM | Here is hoping everybody has a Happy Easter Extra special Easter /Birthday wishes to my Splendid friend
What does Easter involve at your house? For me it is icing sugar bunny foot prints mixed among a trail of lil chocolate eggs for the kiddos . I just wish I was smart enough to come up with better hiding spots.

All holidays are as such in my family. At least we're together heh.

I just don't like them having to much chocolate, but the easter bunny always comes and leaves eggs for the hunt . Then we just typically spend the rest of the day together, going for a walk and such....
Happy easter everyone.....

We are having fancy cupcakes with dinner tonight. Just another quiet Sunday.

Tyeee ------------------ Easter in Canada!
Three blondes died and found themselves standing before St. Peter . He told them that before they could enter the Kingdom, they had to tell him what Easter represented.
The first blonde, an American, said, 'Easter is a holiday where they have a big feast and we give thanks and eat turkey.' St. Peter said, 'Noooooo,' and he banished her to Hell.
The second blonde, a Brit, said, 'Easter is when we celebrate Jesus' birth and exchange gifts.'
St. Peter said, 'Noooooo,' and he banished her to Hell.
The third blonde, a Canadian, said she knew what Easter was, and St. Peter said, 'So, tell me.'
She said, 'Easter is a Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish festival of Passover. Jesus was having Passover feast with His disciples when He was betrayed by Judas, and the Romans arrested Him. The Romans hung Him on the cross and eventually He died. Then they buried Him in a tomb behind a very large boulder ... '
St. Peter interrupted 'Verrrrrry good.'
The blonde continued, 'Now, every year the Jews roll away the boulder and Jesus comes out. If He sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of hockey.'
St. Peter fainted. | |

Posted: 3/23/2008 7:37:31 PM | my mom is protestant, my dad is catholic, neither of them practise and i'm non-religious...lol, so aside from my parents doing the no meat thing on good friday, we don't really follow any of the easter traditions. i did visit them today though, but a stirfry for lunch isn't particularly festive...lol.
as for the easter bunny, i'd be quite happy if he'd steer clear of my my home...since i'm deathly allergic to rabbits. no joke, stupidest allergy ever. bunnies are evil, with the exception of the chocolate variety ; )

I'm so sorry... but I didn't kill it. Someone else did before me. I just happened to see the furry white carcass in the road at the last minute and my tires went right over it.
Okay, it was probably just a cat.

| Have a SPLENDID Easter..... what will the bunny bring to your house? Posted: 3/25/2008 5:22:34 PM | The Easter bunny was lazy this year & left a package of chocolates outside the door of each of my boys' bedrooms early Sunday morning before they woke up. They're lucky they got that much after all the declarations they've made about the non-existence of the Easter bunny. She was also too lazy to cook Easter dinner, especially since the boys are both vegetarians & don't eat turkey, so she just took them out for dinner instead. Unfortunately, she didn't stock up on enough chockies for herself so she's having some pretty maddening cravings right now. | |
