Sounds good, Tom can't beleive that summer is apon us! Bolsa Chica is a great place to throw a party lots of parking... They have renovated it in the last couple of years and it is well maintained and kept nice-just a thought.

The OP is floating an idea to see if there's interest. Why people want to delete a thread like this continues to mystify me. Once there is sufficient interest, he can decide when and where to actually plan something. Then he can follow the POF rules of partying.

Ali, if you wear your "Thong Bikini" I might show up in my "Spedoos" ... maybe not.

I think a beach party would be lots of fun. Perhaps a huge potluck. Since i'm fairly new to the LA area I would like to attend.

I think it's an excellent idea. Bolsa Chica is an excellent location.

+1 on the potluck too.

Lastly, I'd suggest on making it on a Friday (scheduled well in advance) so we don't have to fight the weekend crowds and it also makes it a long weekend.

Do I dare to ask … where Bolsa Chica is located?

^^^^Bolsa Chica is one of the few beaches that allow bonfires (fire pits) with lot's of room to plan a big party.

as a family, we used to go there a lot to party.
good choice, imo

Bolsa Chica is like the armpit of O.C. Beaches. My Landlord worked O.C. parks and beaches for 5+ years and B.C. was the WORST. It is dangerous at night. Gangs etc. Knifings etc. The best is Doheny in Dana Point. It has fire pits grills picnic tables, high class people who frequent it . $10 per car per day. I can suggest free parking if you can walk for 15 min.
Seriously Richard Henry Dana called Dana Point, Then San Juan Point, the most romantic place on the California coast. He saw all of it for 2 years.
Just sayin'.

And I know some butchy lesbians (heartbroken after MsTaken's rejection) who can provide security.
