Who the hell are these 'Researchers'???? really now...and how big was the 'pool' of respondents and where were these people residing?.... how much were they paid?
Frankly my dear after working with pollsters and hiring pollsters to produce 'results' I can tell you that I call that total and utter BS research.
yes, dating... yes a romp in the sack...but come on now... we choose an unattractive Spouse?....give me a freakin break!
some cultures men are looking for a woman with wide hips to shoot out many babies....other cultures it is an arranged marrriage...others simply business ...how much family money is in the future... some based on the size of the cranial lobe... ..so I don't buy into this 'Research'.
I can get a Government Grant to do Research too...and submit a proposal and maybe use the POF members to provide me with answers eh?

Morals are either present or they are not. My father used to tell my brother to marry an ugly girl and she will make a good wife but that is crap. He married a beautiful woman and she is by his side and they have 2 kids who graduated with honors from Texas A&M. Marry someone who is loyal and who learned to be morally correct from their parents example, and success is in your corner. Pride is related to loyalty and some homely people have a complex like the bald men, and the short man, Nepolion, or fat lady syndromes....that may tempt a otherwise moral person to stoop below to a lower level for an ego boost. Sometimes studies reflect what the research study is aimed to prove. sometimes it is dependant on where the study was take n and the age of the persons studied...young people may be more effected by the outward appearance, but if you are talking about mature long term relationships...can people really be so shallow? after a few years the looks change, go away or become invisable. | |
