I guess it mostly depends on what type of places you’re into. I recently went to Supporo (a sushi joint) -- 9719 W Flamingo Rd. It seemed to be where all of the “hip” people congregate. The atmosphere was pretty groovy (and the food was great), but it was a little too crowded for my tastes.

There’s a lot of places “downtown” (the Griffin is one of my favorites; it’s just off of the Freemont Street Experience, and tends to get the locals instead of the tourists).

Other than that, I’m afraid I don’t know too many places over in your area (I live up on Sunrise Mountain). I have been to Bilbos a few times (8699 W. Charleston Boulevard) and it seems like a pretty cool little local bar. Other than that, I’m sure there’s a Roadrunners close to you if you feel like being amidst a meat-market.

yea im not for the meatmarket thing haha

i dont wanna go anywhere near downtown or the strip. ill go there when people come to visit and wanna hang out so they can do the tourist thing but ive seen it and dont need the jacked up pricing of a casino club/bar.

i would like to hit up a place where decent chicks hang out and are looking for men, and a local watering hole for myself

Dang . . . having lived here my entire life I should have tons of places to suggest, but I don't do the bar scene at all. The few pool halls we have are over ran with young kids, not a bad thing, unless you are looking to find someone older to date . . .

I agree stay off the strip and downtown areas as they just attract tourist and girls that are not the highest of caliber.

Any local Las Vegas girls care to tell us guys where to find you? We are very interested in knowing!

I've lived a few different places in the valley (Trop/Boulder now) and I've always hung out at the nearest PT's Pub. Haven't been in a bad one yet. Otherwise there was a Timber off Rainbow between Lake Mead and Cheyenne that was pretty good also. I haven't lived out that way in awhile so that's about all I remember. The only other place that was a great "local" bar ended up closing and turning into another restaurant.

Dude - Buffalo and 95 run parallel to each other.

But you're new - you'll figure it out.

Big Dogs Draft House is on Rancho - google it - it's a brew pub with decent food, good beer, sometimes really good beer, and it's not pretentious or a meat market at all. They always have sports on (they have 20 or so TV's) and it's just a mellow place to grab a beer and hang out.
