| how many have you added as favourites ?
Posted: 3/26/2008 1:28:09 AM | I have read a few threads about favourites (UK spelling) and if they are a good idea or not. I have added a few people as favourites primarily to book mark them so I can contact at a later date as I do not have a 24hr internet connection. Now the question is;
How many people have you added to your favourites list?
Also at the bottom of your profile it says…person Appears on xxx members favorites lists
Would it be a good idea to have next to it…and favours xxx members.
How many people would you consider too many/too few and would you be able to more easily see players this way.

The favourites lists can therefore be a bit misleading IMO, Anyway, what does it matter? A player might only have one or two on his/her list at a time anyway. Not to be used as an indicator methinks. | |

I don't put much into favourite lists. I get a lot of people who add me and never get in touch and I usually have a clear out of those who have added me every now and then. | |

My faves list and the ones I'm on vary from week to week. I have a core of people ( girls as well as guys ) who I chat to regularly. Some people leave while others just drift off to someone else. I do delete them from mine if they haven't been online or we haven't chatted for a while. As for the ones who have added me, that number goes up and down like a yoyo  Guys add me then never get in touch so I delete them after a while. If they haven't messaged in a few days, I don't see the point in my being on theirs. I find that bit a little creepy. | |

I could be wrong but it just seems like it is a method used by those without much to say who would normally utilise the 'quick flirt' thing they have on some other sites.
I am always worried about the mental state of someone who would add me as a favourite, so unless we have chatted and then done the 'add favourites' thing I will ignore them. | |

This site is so sexist, no one adds me to their favourites because of the size of my boobs :'(.
In all seriousness, the whole Favourites thing is a bunch of crapola, I have like 4 people on my favourites list, 1 because I actually semi like her, 1 because I felt sorry for her and she was being far too nice for me not to (and now has gone abit stalkerish, text messages at 6am etc etc. 1 because I met her on holiday and then she messaged me on here shortly after, wooo spooky?! and 1 that I've met from here and am quite good friends with. I don't really know why I added them to my favourites list, I have the ones I want to talk tos phone numbers and on msn, but hey o I feel rude not returning the favour! | |

i never used to bother nad felt quite flattered i was on double figures, then i started gettin msgs like 'oh i bet ya too busy to talk to me cos ya have loads of favs.'
So i started to whittle them down much the same as others , if i havnt chatted to them in a while, deleted!!lol
Sad thing is now tho i have 5
two are my sister one is my best friend and just the two guys

i don't really see the point in favourites either, unless you're going to talk to them all.
i saw someone's profile a while back with over 200 hundred favourites, now i'm sure that person didn't talk to them all. sometimes i think people just leave them there to make themselves look good, but others i think genuinely do chat with all of theirs. | |

I will not just ignore - I will delete the ones who add me as their fav without any prior communication.
I do not need my ego massaged by being on million strangers fav lists, thanks.
Personally have 5 favourites only and those are people I exchange occasional email with as we do have something (and NOT dating related) in common. | |
