Posted: 3/26/2008 2:17:15 PM | The Party thread is down and I thought I'd start a thread to get some feedback (constructive please) about our party at the Fox Fire.
Over 100 POFr's attended. Incredible turnout for a Tuesday nite Karaoke party! The venue only provided 1 bartender and 2 servers, but I don't think anyone went thirsty. There was some real "talent" up there....um yeah, that's it Talent! 
I can't post the pix until Admin fixes the thread.
Thanks to everyone who attended, there really are some great people on here. Stay tuned...

What really made this karaoke night a success is the fact that I DID NOT sing. You lucky POF'ers! I would have left ALL of you speechless, not just Shania Twain! lol | |

Posted: 3/27/2008 6:31:55 AM | It was a great event . . . . I think having it mid-week did cause some people to leave earlier than they would have if it had been on a Friday or Saturday night.
I think the surprise of the evening (besides Shania not singing) was the incredible opening performance of our hostess Ali Madonna. For those that missed it, it raised the roof and set the bar really high for the rest of the evening.  Great job. | |

I am so sorry I missed this event. I am new to POF and this would have been a great opportunity for me to get out and mingle with my fellow POF peeps and to meet new people who love to do the same thing I do.
I too LOVE to karaoke and yes, I can carry a tune - quite well. Probably not as good as Ali from what I have read.
I did see the thread about Karaoke at Fox Fire, but I was too shy to go...I might just need a little persuasion next time. :)
Please let me know when the next POF mixer is and I will be sure to be there.
BTW Ali, where do you normally go karaoke at? I go to a couple places in Long Beach....Like I said - I love to karaoke.
