| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 6:55:29 AM | Do women have a thing for fireman or is it all just a myth.
If so what is it? is it just the uniform and if so do police and other uniform wearers have the same attraction??
I am a fireman and we get alot of attraction but when some of the lads are out of uniform they get no attention lol

| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 7:01:21 AM | I definitely have a thing for firemen but only on a fantasy level (I think it's something to do with the fact they could throw me over their shoulder). In the real world, firemen are just men, good, bad and indifferent.
I went to a kids party at the Heathrow Fire Station once, I was thinking all my Christmasses were coming at once... until I actually got there. Met some lovely ordinary blokes, that's when I realised my fantasy should stay firmly in my head.
Perhaps though, when I find Mr Right, I can get him to dress up ....
Customs uniform is good too....

| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 7:10:24 AM | I too have a thing for firemen- but only when they're in the uniform - as soon as they get naked it's boring | |

| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 7:12:38 AM | Do women have a thing for fireman or is it all just a myth. ........not me - I just have a thing for c ockney bus drivers
Slightly OT this but I work in an Infant school and we've recently had a fire crew visit as part of a Health and Safety week. I took some photo's and asked the children to type captions so that we could make a book . One page proudly displays a fireman showing the children how he would put out a fire and underneath the caption says , ' The fireman got his big hose out and squirted it all over the place'
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 7:17:35 AM | Nope, not me.
I'm definitely turned OFF by uniforms.
I think it's something to do with my preference for very individual men. I consciously understand that the uniform does not mean 'sheep' type mentality in all cases but my subconscious doesn't, it seems!

Do women have a thing for fireman or is it all just a myth.
I think "a thing for uniforms" is fairly common. And for both sexes. When it comes to which uniform - I think firemen get the most attention !
I know that I find a girl in uniform a turn on !
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 8:08:09 AM | It's a very sad and dangerous myth - and the firemen USE it to their advantage.
I should know - I was married to one for 17 years.
He, like his mates, just could not keep his hose under control and was continually sprinkling where he shouldn't have been. They use the myth, fantasy, whatever you want to call it to shag as many as they can and cover for each other if their wife calls asking why they not back from work when they should be.....
Of course, I'm not saying they're ALL like that..........just the one's in my county........
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 8:16:48 AM | | fireman or policeman... yes !! | |

Sure. Any kind of uniform. As long as he is breathing and clean.

| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 8:43:42 AM | | im more interested in whats underneath the uniform than in it to be honest | |
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 8:48:32 AM | Uniforms always remind me of the Village People.
They were really popular with certain sections of society, so maybe people in uniforms are attractive to some people.
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 8:57:54 AM | uniformed man= nice
shirt and tie man=nicer
big old dirty/sweaty manual worker covered in axle grease= bloody lovely
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 8:58:50 AM | i was seeing a fireman last year, and yet no, i don't have a 'thing' for them..
he told me enough stories about what goes on behind the scenes to put me off firemen for life though.
it's an extremely intense job..the same i would imagine goes for policemen too...where, when out on a shout you look out for each other...you build up the kind of relationships that don't happen all that often, and so bond with your colleagues pretty tightly..hence many firemen and women are shagging the arses off each other..same for police men and women...a very insular kind of existence and not something i would want to get caught up in.
as for is the fantasy thing a myth? no of course it isn't, but it doesn't apply to 'every' woman....lot's of women find the 'hero' aspect of the fireman extremely arousing..but equally, many women don't..just as i suppose a few women would find an arsonist exciting and arousing but an equal number wouldn't...horses for course innit!
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 9:09:16 AM | Having been married to a "uniformed" person previously.....
Definately a turn off. sorry....
Its almost like they have no personality of their own and use the uniform. kinda....
"Look at me im important don't ya wanna piece of me"
Quite frankly....... no thankyou.
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 10:45:28 AM | | i must admit mine is an unhealthy one of military guys in greens!!! desserts!!! or Dress uniform....oh hell just give me them all lol the only prob with some guys in uniform they know the women fancy em and otally use it the wrong way...hence the difference between a squaddie or a soldier x | |
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 10:58:23 AM | For me personally, no thanks. Too much of a cliche to be honest.
I'll tell you what though, the amount of *firemen* on this site is just incredible. Given that so many people don't like to say what they do for a living, the so called *firemen* love to big it up.
What worries me is that if all these *firemen* are online seeking dates, who is out driving around in those bright red lorries ringing their bells ;0)
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 10:58:51 AM | I dont like the firemen uniforms tbh- I have more of a liking for doctors/surgeons/lawyers/police men.............something more sexy about a really intelligent man who has authority. (and no im not saying all other people are stupid)
Maybe that says something about me lol
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 12:14:20 PM | I like a man in uniform but a soldier for me not a fireman. My daughter asked me other day why do women have a thing about fireman, I think it was after seeing an advert on the tv. | |
|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 12:25:07 PM | firemen..yes they're gorg, only in uniform though lol... oh and raf men are quite sexy too...

| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 12:36:42 PM | Mmmmm...oh yeah! I like firemens uniforms!
The 'dream' got destroyed when I met a few firemen though...all they relied on was the fact they were firemen.....they were...um..well....not my type.

|
| Uniforms Posted: 3/31/2008 12:44:28 PM | Uniforms can be pretty good 4 certain types of people. I suppose the men/women who have an advantage of wearing a uniform r the 1s who have very little else 2 offer in the looks n personality department.
