To meet for a coffee as a friend or as a likely partner.
To walk in sit down to not no what there looked like to know just by your chats that you there could be a atraction ? | |

Because if the person was a participant in here, they should know my opinions on lots of different things - like the importance of knowing the difference between friends and likely partner! If I met somebody in the forums and had gotten to know them, we'd already be friends.....

People may have a valid reason ( though few spring to mind ) for not showing themselves in the first place.. but no pic...and theres no coffee.

Posted: 3/31/2008 11:47:11 PM | When I initially signed up May/07, I had no picture of myself, (at first no camera, then 'I want them to like me for myself'), so therefore had no qualms meeting three men that way, and was pleasantly surprised each time.
Oddly enough, now that I have a hidden profile, and only really meet people at the odd pof event, I have pictures...
But yeah, I'd do it again...

Posted: 4/1/2008 12:01:12 AM | I'll be blunt.. i dont need you to be Nigella Lawson ( bu they you wont lose any ponts for that !! ) butthe ability to look a camera in the lens and give me something real...well that goes a long way for me..doesnt need to be a close up glam thing.. just something showing me youve got blood courseig in your veins and you not clinically dead is a good start.
Again I like eyes.. they can tell a lot...yes siree bub!! sure can.
lets be honest also... how often has anyone gone on a blind date and had a Richard Gere, George Cloney...Shrek...or Portman, Iman, Vendt or Diaz plop themselves down across form you ?? | |

Doesn't really bother me........i dont judge someone on looks .....
If im not attracted in any way,shape,or form,i probably wouldn't have agreed to meet anyway......sometimes,ive been more than pleasantly surprised.And,no ones gone off wailing into the distance so far....
Its only 20 mins out of my life,and,if there is chemistry........well,thats great!
