Looking for a Review From Guys

I noticed that there is an awful lots of posts for review of profiles so I thought that I would throw mine out there. I am looking for an honest review from men. Of course any reviews from women are also welcome as I appreciate all comments but just want to see what a "guy" sees or thinks when he reads my profile. Thanks and have a great day!

You may want more in the interests section. I'm guessing you do more than go shopping on day trips in your spare time?

Having only one face shot AND listing a few extra pounds makes it easy for you to get put in the stereotype of hiding your appearance. You say you want honesty and know there has to be physical attraction. More pictures helps avoid misunderstanding in both those areas.

The rest seems ok to me.

Ok... lesse.

Headline is a little needy. Personally, I like the sentiment, but many people see it as turnoff.

Picture... well, only one is not good. And the one you have is not good image, but really bad quality photo. Need better and more pics. A few extra pounds also means making at least one of them full body shot.

"Prefer not so say" is almost always a bad choice to use. Decide which of the categories of "want children" you are closest to and use that.

About a dozen interests are good. And make them interesting.

Text is well-written, although missing a few commas. Also, get rid of the negative sentence at the end. If you really want to express that sentiment, rephrase it as positive.

No first date? That section is important.

i would suggest you add more photo's, as said before, and a full body shot should be included Also, the undecided/open on children . Other then that, i thought your profile was written from your heart, and expressed what you are looking for well.
if we lived closer, i would e mail you!

I don't know about all that ... I don't believe in making yourself sound like someone that you aren't or anything like that because eventually if you aren't that person they will find out. Not to mention I don't have the time or patience for playing games. I am just me - pure and simple my dear. No more no less. What do you think I should change about my profile - any ideas? I welcome your comments.

Yes, that is always a danger in fixing profiles - that a person ends up with a profile that does not represent the real article. But, I don't think anyone is suggesting that you should make radical changes to your profile. All people who commented so far like what you wrote in your profile, and in my case, also what you posted on forums. So we are just suggesting a little polish of weak points, not a remake.

"The type of man that I am looking for has integrity, is honest, fun, hard working, compassionate and knows what he wants out of life. "

At the risk of sounding harsh, the way that is written sets you apart from exactly zero other women on here. And it filters out exactly zero guys. We all think we have integrity, are honest, like to have fun, work hard, and are compassionate. And we all know what we want out of life. What you want is for us to understand what YOU mean by those words... not what we mean by them.

Try this: Take every on of those traits, and write one sentence putting a guy in a scenerio where he shows that he is fun, compassionate, etc. We're dense, you know... you gotta spell it out for us :)

Ummm.... problem with making statements like "exactly zero" is that you just need one person to prove the statement wrong. And I for one, don't usually work very hard - I don't enjoy the benefits of working harder enough to justify the effort (although I am capable of working hard if needed). Nor do I know what I want out of life - I am very much opened to a variety of things that could make me happy.

The thing is that there is no good way to describe exactly who your match is. You give good picture of yourself and a vague picture of the other person, because you can match with a variety of partners and be good together. And even with the vague picture, there are plenty of people who will not fit into it.

I certainly do appreciate your comments and suggestions. I will think about the ways that I can "clarify" certain areas. Thanks Guys! And hope that you are having a fabulous day!
