you're not exactly a teenager anymore, and the ladies you want to attract are
all looking for mature men.
If you wish to appear mature then the first thing
you need to do is put some clothes on. Nobody is going to take you serious.
Either change your status to intimate encounters to fit with the rest of your
profile, or take out all references to sex and gettin laid. Putting sex in your
interest list is just redundant.
Yes, we women already know you guys like sex!
Oh, I just really stopped caring as soon as I read you want to take your date to a
bondage freak sex place. Uh, never mind...I just gave up on ya. | |

It really doesn't matter so long as you're beautiful outside and in, you keep fit, are YOU and have personality in spades.
That shouldn't be hard to find. It's not like EVERYONE is looking for the same thing.
All that aside, I can't really tell why your profile is so repugnant. Maybe it's the "I love myself so much I'd go gay for me" picture gallery. Maybe it's all the self-congratulatory verbiage in your "about me." Maybe it was the gag-worthy anecdote detailing how you wrote a rap for your ex-girlfriend.
Or maybe it's all of the above.
Sadly enough, it's probably working for you just fine. | |

Posted: 4/4/2008 1:50:02 AM | OP, I did find that your profile was well-written, and avoided the usual plague of the terminally hot (whether male or female) which is bad spelling and grammar. So in that respect - you deliver the goods.
Experimental, cool, detached, feral, and rather overly-suffused with yourself. A profile that I can appreciate even if it wouldn't be what I was looking for personally. I'm glad you tempered your shirtless pics with something that looks a bit academic, so you should appeal to the h0rny university chick who desires a six pack with a bit of gray matter......
All you need to do is to release a sex tape and you're good to go! Whenever you take your shirt off, everyone knows what you're looking for, so I think it works, and you'll no doubt find it..........Just because most responders blanched at it doesn't mean that it isn't a good profile. Your goal is to appeal to a narrower audience that's not regularly seen on PoF and there's nothing wrong in that.

Posted: 4/4/2008 3:53:03 AM | i thought it was a pretty good profile tbh. The guy oozes with confidence and knows what he wants and is like most blokes in the sense that, at least he is being honest about saying he is up for a 1 nighter but looking for more.
ok he sounds a bit vein and with the posing pics and possibly a bit of a player with his profile message but mah! he doesnt come across as a bad guy or an A - hole.

It's interesting to see how both men and women so far in this review thread have said that im just looking to get laid. Which actually isn't the case, doubt as you may. But i'm going to reread what i wrote as there seems to be a shared view on that. All i was trying to say was that (outside of this site) things have just been happening too fast where im actually looking for a genuine connection and its left me feeling off the whole 'Hey you're in your 20's, enjoy being single!' that i continually get form people. I didn't take time to write my profile. I wrote it in one trai of thought based on how i felt at the time. Anyway keep em coming, I don't claim for a second to have it all sussed, thanx | |

I think you have some things in there that you can work with , but it definately needs some tweaking. I think I would play down the parts about wanting to feel alive again, and that you havent really been your true self..... I realize that this is honest, but you dont want to come across as someone that needs fixing either.... Remember that your profile should let someone know that you have something to give. Try to identify the qualities that you have which will contribute positively to a relationship.
oh and I dont know if I would keep the part about the bronze , ethnic mix woman, ...... unless that is really what you are looking for, it may narrow the field too much and discourage women who are not those things from responding to you. I would just keep those preferences for your own searchings of profiles ......then when you find someone that has that look, you can let her know that you are especially attracted to that. Make sense?? | |

Also while out for the night last night i found myself attracteds to someone who didnt fit my 'dark ethnic mix' so true enough, thats now removed also. To me a profile is a fluid medium. I never keep the same one too long because it changes as i do and i write them all on a whim | |
