| Tri-City area parties ever?
Posted: 4/5/2008 2:01:01 PM | Does any one ever plan parties around the tri-city area? Saginaw/Bay City/Midland?
I haven't been reading forums that long but noticed all the fun seems to be downstate.
Wouldn't one of you pros like to come up here and show us how it's done? I can't really be the only POF-er from this area (LOL sounds like a dirty word) that would be interested, can I?

i used to host parties in this area but i drive truck over the road now
i don't have time to set any up
there are alot of pof people in the area just none that want to host
we have had some wonderful parties here
usually down on midland street in bay city
if someone host one they will come
just look at the amount of views we have had on my old post asking if anyone was interested
i will post on it so it will come back up to the top of the list again
maybe you can talk someone into hosting one

really hosting is easy
the hardest thing is the setup and running the thread
i can do that for you out on the road
all that needs to be done is pick a date and set it up with the bar
maybe get a few people to volunteer to greet at the door

Do I need to start behaving because I am actually going to be meeting some of you or can I just be my shamelessly bad misbehavin self?? I truely am an  I just talk like a .... maybe we could talk some of those people from farther down that I have grown so fond of into coming up here to party with us??? Does that ever happen? How many people usually show up to these parties? Ohhhhh a real party complete with live bodies...can you tell I don't get out much? Please say people dance, please! I can't ever get my friends to dance when I do manage to go out!

Robin no u don't need to start behaving cuz I'm not.. I'll dance as long as u ppl don't laugh at me.. my daughter said I need to learn "dirty dancing"?????? Is she nuts or what???? I think I can shake my butt here & there just not sure how to move my body else where as long as I don't step on anybody's toes.. Checked with Stables before when trying to plan one and they really are not willing to work with me there, so going elsewhere.
As far as how many people generally show for these, not sure about up your way, but my parties here on the east side my way I generally have anywhere from 100-150 and sometimes more than that.
I will plan for the 1st Saturday in May and go from there everyone. If I can get it that early I will otherwise would be the 3rd Saturday.

we draw from up to 50 miles away
our best draw is from personal invites through pof mail
i have sent out over 200 personal invites during the parties i held
works well too people like the personal part of it | |

Just a suggestion to help get the word out: Post the party on your About Me part of your profile. I did that with mine regarding Margies party for this Saturday. That way,,,the more ppl who view your profile will also be viewing the date and whereabouts of the party.

Thanks and any help with inviting is always appreciated. If all of you could get the word out that would be great. As soon as I have the date set; I will post, still waiting on them to call me back. Talked briefly with them yesterday, so still working on date and entertainment. Bare with me everyone. It will be soon though.
Ripley what a great idea. And I do that with all of my parties too. The mass mail will go out as soon as posted. Hopefully will get a great response.

Great idea Rip...as soon as I know, I will post it on my about me and then to add a special touch, I'll do a search and check out all the guys in my search base area cause they always come do a look see back at ya....that way they'll see the party invite!!! Man, I wish you could come Rip and all the rest of you funny people I've been posting with on those threads! Why do we all have to live so far away? I've been trying to find someone to go camping with me for that camp out so I could meet up with all of you. Still working on that one, sounds like a lot of fun but come home exhausted
