| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/5/2008 2:38:37 PM | Ok, I'm going to try and put together a POF meet, but I'd like a little input. What would you guys most like to do?
A) Bowling B) ****ail Lounge/Local Bar C) Restaurant D) BBQ or other casual type meet
I see lots of people looking at the local posts but not many respond. Hopefully I'll get enough response to put something together.

| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/5/2008 4:15:57 PM | Come on guys...I see lots of people looking, all I'm asking for is an opinion. If you'd rather do something else, just say so. | |
|
| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/6/2008 10:01:00 PM | | I didn't know we were *supposed* to meet. I am, in fact, just looking. Is that wrong? | |
|
| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/7/2008 10:21:26 AM | | Actually there are alot of places posted on here where pofer's get together....linda has one or two a week usually, check them out if no responses on here | |
|
| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/7/2008 7:23:41 PM | I vote for D a casual atmosphere is usually best. | |
|
| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/8/2008 2:43:19 PM | B or D probably. Maybe a D that becomes a B(?)
With the fantastic weather, maybe a park where those with little ones could bring them, or those with furry little ones could bring those instead.
Maybe a kind of pot-luck/BBQ/BYOB.

| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/11/2008 2:21:19 PM | | I would be more likely to go to a bar or a bbq than a resturant. I'm not a big fan of eating in front of people that I don't really know, and it's kind of hard to get people to agree on one resturant. I'm not a big fan of bowling because there's no way to look cool if you're throwing a 12 pound marble ball at 10 pins 50 feet away while trying not to slip and fall on your butt because you are wearing the world's goofiest shoes. | |
|
| Opinions Please.... Posted: 4/17/2008 8:24:39 PM | There's nothing wrong with making a fool out of yourself bowling, I've done it on quite a regular basis. I like to think of it as endearing, and not being the total klutz that it really is. Cheers to all of us with 2 left feet and one of them is backwards! (I vote for bowling, by the way ) | |

Nothing wrong with looking the fool .. I was on the Phantom of The Opera bowling team (playing against other shows), where I earned the nickname "Gutter Boy".
Had the time of my life!!

I set up events for single people in the Las Vegas area. If you have a spare night - I've got something usually set up.
My weekly activity is trivia on Tuesday nights at McMullans on West Tropicana. Lots of fun and lots of people - every Tuesday night I'm there about 8:30.
PS... I love bowling! | |

| Opinions Please.... Posted: 5/13/2008 6:26:17 AM | Of the options you mentioned, I think bowling is the best.
However, I would enjoy karaoke. It is really fun to sing or just to watch.
Thanks. | |

Linda, I tried msging you but since I am below your age range, I thought I should post my questions. What is the average age of the groups you setup? I went to the POF get together on the 17th and it seemed like I was at one of my parent's parties.
Being new in this town trying to meet new people. Any ideas besides PoF?

| Opinions Please.... Posted: 7/5/2008 9:11:40 AM | | I been to a few of Lindas meetups...Most of us are in our mid 30s and up. Since my truck went out on me the other night gonna be a while before I make another one. Not in a hurry to spend money to fix it. We got karaoke coming up July 12 I believe. It's at a place called 3 tomatoes and a mozzarella. It's on rainbow about 2 blocks north of the 215 South beltway. Starts at 10 pm. I think it's 6435 south Rainbow. | |

I like Kelleigh's idea, but I also enjoy going to Dive Bars with no toilet paper in the bathrooms.

When I first posted I couldn't get anybody to answer so kinda gave up. I think I might be ready to try setting something up again unless someone else wants to take the lead.

| Opinions Please.... Posted: 7/29/2008 3:53:27 PM | SCOTTY's CASTLE ~ DEATH VALLEY ~ SAT 08/02/08 ~ This SAT.
If you want to tag along like one of the kids & tour Scotty's Castle in Death Valley this Saturday... Lynn's coach will be leaving LV around 7:30a & flying through Pahrump to arrive by the 9am tour. They have a new underground tour of the house, instead of just the house.
$11 for adults $6 for kids 6 - 15
Three seats available & must be back around 3pm. :o) Lynn
As Far as Mt. Charleston, have the only trail book published & lots of topo maps. Haven't hiked the hard ones yet (was waiting for the little blondie to show me she is tough enough to make it) but I am up there all the time. Just holler - Early Am Start for me cause I gotta be dressed for work by 4pm though on Sat/Sun.
You gotta go up the Mary Jane when there is snow - You can walk out on the ice stuck between the canyons. Terrifying Yet Awesome!

Tigger ~ Sending my reply & Waiting with Excitement.
Mt. Charleston Next Sat ~ Yes ??? Hopefully an early 7:30 - 8am start is ok. We can do Breakfast & Pack a lunch. I will be nice & start out with the Mary Jane Bunny Trail - it is really cub scout level, but still great cardio exercise. :o)

| Opinions Please.... Posted: 7/30/2008 12:03:01 PM | | Maybe we can find the cave hidden behind the Mary Jane. I haven't found that yet. | |
