So who's gona win? Clearly GSP I think is gona win. If you watch when they fought at UFC 69 in Houston GSP wasn't as aggressive as he usually is. He lowered himself to Serra's reach and that's why he got caught. If he stays away and picks his spots GSP can knock out Matt Serra. GSP has the best sprawling to so the only its going to the mat is with a GSP takedown, which I think will happen late in the 1st round. Serra is too strong to be submitted too. My prediction, GSP wins by ground and pound in the middle of the 3rd round. If not that than GSP will score an early knock out. All hail GSP!!!

Not to mention GSP is like 205lb/er strong. He trains with 205 ers' and they say he is very strong.

He walks around at around almost 190 and cuts nearly 20lbs for every fight!

He really has it all..Strength,Speed, and Skill.

St.Pierre is clearly the better athlete and the more well rounded fighter.... very strong in ALL areas.

I definitely want GSP to win. And that certainly is the way it looks on paper, but then, fighting isn't math. Sometimes one guy just has another guys number. So, I'm adopting a wait and see attitude on this one.

You know whats funny is everyone was saying the same exact stuff the first time they fought and look what happened. Serra is a threat to just about anyone on any given day, that being said the smart money is on GSP....I think I'll pick Serra so if he wins I can look like a genius as to where if he loses I can always play it off as a Yeah we all knew GSP would beat that ass LOL

There will be A LOT of pressure on GSP to win. That will be his only hurdle.

Yeah because the man standing across from him who made him look like a **** the last time around won't be any type of hurdle at all...

I like GSP, he is very well rounded, but I am also going to pick Serra. As a fighter, I think he has not only great skill, but also that certain mentallity that not a lot of fighters have. I honestly don't like Serra as a person, he seemed like a jack @$$ on Ultimate Fighter, but can't take away from his skills, and that is what matters, as well as that it factor.

Haha....I love that people just seem to have forgotten that Serra destroyed him last time, and even going so far as to say he "won't be any type of hurdle"...here's the facts though, man. It's a championship fight...there ARE no easy fights at that level. Think what you want about Serra, but he's no walkthrough.

BTW...I'm picking GSP to win this fight, but not as easy as everyone claims he will.

Ive watched the GSP/serra fight prolly 50times. And GSP was backing up and slipped, serra punched him and punched him again.

Serra won yes..But It was LUCK.

This Saturday all the haters will see..That belt is coming home..Coming home to Canada.

This Saturday GSP will give serra all the red wine he can handle!

Heres a great GSP quote..

Georges St. Pierre says he's at his best when he's under pressure. And with his impending fight against Matt Serra for the UFC welterweight championship, which will be their second matchup (and the most highly anticipated on top of it). Find out how Georges St. Pierre’s workout uses a variety of techniques and tactics to stay on top of his opponent, including MMA (mixed martial arts), a rigorous diet and keeping a positive attitude.

EXERCISE
"I always train with better wrestlers than me, better boxers than me, better jiu-jitsu guys than me," St. Pierre says. "When you train with people who are better than you, it keeps challenging you. By challenging me it makes me better. It makes you better develop your skills than someone who is always training with the same people over and over again. I have a very good team.

"When I go there (other training gyms) I play their game. When I wrestle a guy like David Zimmerman, I don’t have the best of him… I wrestle well, but not the best of him. But when I get into the sport and have myself in a takedown position, the guy that I’m fighting isn’t a guy like Zimmerman. It’s the same thing in boxing, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai. So that’s why I try to train in every single discipline with the best guys."

TRAINING ROUTINE
"Normally, when I don’t have a fight coming up, I always train," St. Pierre explains. "I train six days a week, two training sessions a day. I box, go the gym and I have a lot of great training partners. I train with guys who are going to the Olympics, and I train with some of the best jiu-jitsu guys in the world. In every type of training I do, I train with better guys than me, so I always develop my skills.

"When I have a fight, and the fight is getting closer, let’s say a month before the fight, I don’t train by just boxing, or just wrestling. I train more MMA, and what I mean by that is I make training partners come here and I mix all the training together, like kickboxing, submissions, takedown on the ground, to really give me the reflex and the momentum for the fight.

"I do boxing, wrestling, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu – that’s the four disciplines that I do. I also do sprinting and strength conditioning.”

Haha...he SLIPPED because he got ROCKED. I'm not a big fan of either of the guys, but to say the win was luck is blind nuthuggery. He put an ass whooping on him and made him tap from strikes. I'll say again, I do think GSP will win the rematch, but to say it was luck makes no sense.

What I think happened the first time is that GSP underestimated him, left himself open, and got caught. Punches that landed flush don't count as luck.

Well as expected GSP fukin dominated. I mean I havent seen an utter ass kicking like that in a long time!

In a post fight interview when asked what happened Matta Serra replied "I got my ass kicked" Haha I love it.

Now that GSP has put his only 2 loses to bed in dramatic fashion we could be witness to the greatest ufc championship run in history.

Props to Serra for being a class act in the loss. I hope he kicks Hughes ass.

Mr.Fitch, youd better hit the gym.

Rumor has it the Ufc is in the works for a super fight between GSP-the ww champion and Anderson Silva-the mw champion.

If this fight goes through..It will likely be toward the end of the year, and be a one time only deal non title match with bragging rights being the #1 p4p best fighter in the world.

GSP hinted at this during the a post ufc 83 interview.

If this happens it will be one of the biggest fights in mma history and the ppv buyrate will be huge!

O ya and Starnes is done with the ufc. (He knew he was getting cut, so he opted out of his contract.)

Damn.

Now That would be a good fight, and I can see them doing it as well, I mean really, there is nobody in the world left for Anderson to fight, so why not look to other divisions for a challenge...

UFC needs more of these fights, inter division ones I mean, let's mix it up, re-create the foundation upon which UFC was built....

Any links to this rumor?

Tho I like them both, I would have to say Anderson Silva in the second round by knockout.

Links to the rumor..Try mmanews.com.

GSP and Dana also hinted at this in a post ufc 83 interview.

The fight would be very interesting on many levels. If it stayed standing..Silva would have a major advantage, however on the ground the fight would prolly favor GSP given his strength and sheer athletic ability.

Can Anderson stop the takedown?
Can GSP avoid the subs?

We will prolly have to wait until Dec to know for sure!

Starnes is miserable. What a shitty performance, and then to cuss Nate's cornerman after the fight is just classless. Back to fighting in bars for $250 bucks for ya, chump!

And yes, GSP vs Silva is a fight I'd love to see. GSP is the best wrestler in MMA, period..and everyone knows that's where Silva's weakness is....BUT, Silva's jiu-jitsu is highly under-rated, so it might not be all bad. I'd be very excited to see this happen, but I'm not putting too much stock in it actually going down, at this point.

I think more likely is BJ Penn and GSP both defending their titles one or two more times, then setting this fight up, seeing how the decision of the first one was a bit controversial.

ok, I was happy that Rich Franklin finally won!! and if GSP vs. Anderson Silva goes down omfg that will be an awesome fight!!! Granted I am getting geared up for BJ Penn whooping S.Sherk (think I spelled that right). Although I am sad to hear that Liddell will not be able to fight in June due to his torn hamstring? did I read that right? Sorry its an addiction!

Don't count on GSP vs. Penn any time soon. Realistically, the UFC has never given any fighter a chance to win belts in two weight classes (Hendo being the exception, because he already had the Pride belts.... Not really the same thing anyway), and I doubt they'll start now.

Especially when you consider that WW and LW are by far more stacked than any other division, and both champs are going to have their hands full with contenders in their own divisions.

GSP should be fighting Fitch next, and maybe Alves after that. Should Penn beat Sherk, his next opponent is likely Kenflo, Huerta or Griffin (in that order of likelyhood)

NOBODY should win as it should be BANNED

UFC & MMA Should be BANNED and taken on the TV as it's just so poor and give real martial arts a bad name They say they have black belts in this and that but kick like a faggots and punch like old ladys

They would not last 5 mins with somebody in a real fight anyway LOL

Good post...maybe you should hit a gym before you start bashing MMA. ANY competitor in the sport would eat you for lunch you fat slob.

I'm sure your "martial arts" background consists of the sacred art of "eet sum food". Go have another burger and reconsider opening your mouth about something you don't know about.

Second this.

Wadoman is what's known as a troll...

But yeah, I'd like to see him go one 5 min round. He'd loose just from exhaustion.

He speaks the words of someone who knows absolutely nothing about the sport. Also anyone who uses the word "faggot" as part of their argument invalidates anything they say that might be worth a damn.
