Problems with Macs?

Are anybody experiencing problems with Macs and POF. This is what is going on, when I am in the forums, I can navigate very quickly from post to post, with no problems, but the moment I click on a profile or go into the dating side of POF. It slows down to a crowl and sometimes it takes up to two minutes to upload a single page. So my question to the Mods, or anybody here. Is there a difference in servers? Is one compatible with Safari and the other one not? Has this happened to anybody else? What can be done about it? (I've tried Firefox and that didn't work either.

Thanks for the reply, still none of the thinks you mentioned in the link apply to this. Since I've followed all the procedures. It used to work fine before, it doesn't anymore. I even tried to click on the e-mail link you provided (thanks) and it would not do anything either. Yet I can go to any forum post and goes there as you click. So any advice? I mean, if you want to e-mail me in private. I would welcome it. Just let me know what's going on. Thanks.

You may not run Windows, but the Principles are the same. You do have Cookies, Browser Security Settings, Internet Options above are all about configuring your Browser for this Site, logging on with E-Mail Addresses and changing your Password ...
... are all the same.

From what you are saying, providing your Internet Connection is good otherwise, it points at Cookies and Temporary Internet Files. Is there a manual Way you can delete them and then re-boot?

Also check your Firewall, maybe you accidentally restricted something in respect to POF.

OP, I had a similar problem a couple of months ago and deleting the cookies for POF took care of it.

If you're using Firefox, go to preferences/privacy and show cookies, then scroll down and delete the ones for POF. If you're using Safari, it's under preferences/security, same thing.

Make sure you completely restart your mac before you try accessing POF again.

Side note: Firefox has been a lot more stable for me than Safari was, I definitely recommend it.

Yep, same here. I bailed on Safari and went to Firefox and I have no problems now.

I followed the advice about deleting the cookies and re-staring the computer and all that. Yesterday, even after that, it didn't seem to get faster or solve the problem. Today. I guess after re-booting a second time, it worked. Now it navigates quite well with no problems. Actually, I think it's faster. Thank mods!
