| Lucky's Event.
Posted: 4/9/2008 4:12:50 AM | There will NOT be an official Lucky's event any longer. I am talking to the people at Bamkshot Billiards to see what we can work out there. They can not get us started this week because of Valley Pool statewide Tournaments are in town.
Im trying to get this for every other Sunday instead of every Sunday as we did at Luckys. They also need time to locate a KJ for karaoke. I was hoping to get started on the 20th of this month but that conflicks with other events through the week.
I may see if we can do the 20th and the 27th of this month and then bi-weekly after that.
Frank and I went to Bankshot last Saturday and they have alot to offer. The pool tables were awsome! I really think everyone will enjoy this place.
If anyone knows people that comes to Luckys that does not have computer access, will you please contact them and let them know of the changes.
I will be getting a thread together as soon as I get all the info together.

With so many people wanting to find a new place, I cant believe that Bruce is the only one that had a comment. Doesnt anyone else have any comments ? Are these dates gonna work for everyone?
I loved going to Luckys just as much as everyone else and I hate the fact that we were forsed to look for somewhere else. I want to be somewhere that we are welcome and I wasnt feeling that at Luckys anymore. | |

Anyone can still go to Luckys this Sunday if they want. I just wasnt gonna host the event anymore there. Dan didnt even give pool prizes for the pool winners last week.
None of the places Frank and I went to Saturday had big enough patios for karaoke. They were basically just big enough for smoking.
This place was very open and spacious though. To me it didnt have that dark and gloomy bar feeling. | |

Posted: 4/9/2008 10:08:45 AM | Well, if Sunday, May 11th is the next date, it puts it on the Sundays I have my daughter, so I will only be able to attend rarely, but that's pretty much what I was down to, anyways. Hope it all goes well, thanks for the work and time you've put into this, Deb and Frank. I'll always remember Lucky's as my first POF event.

Wayne, we are going to every other week because I think it will draw more of a crowd and with summer coming also people plan other things to do. BTW.. we missed you last Sunday. Hope you are feeling better.
Dennise, Luckys is not making us feel very welcome anymore. They have suspended karaoke for April and the pool prizes because they say we dont bring in enough people right now.

Rose, the new place is not far from Luckys at all. Just a couple of miles and still in Hilliard.
Thanks Frank for answering some of the questions.
Not all the details have been worked out yet. Im not really positive of the dates yet.
Just as soon as I find out more info, I will post the thread and hopefully it will be within the next couple of days.
Just because Im not hosting an event at Luckys anymore doesnt mean that ya;ll cant still go or if someone else wants to host it there, please feel free to do so. Im sure the pool tables will be open but remember there will not be karaoke. Im not trying to take anything away from anyone, im trying (with Franks help) to find someplace that will make us feel welcome and comfortable. | |

I cant fault them for deciding what they did, but I dont have to go back either..
Sometimes a short term good decision is a long term bad one..
if they were going to change this, I htink they will regret it come June /July when their patio has 10-12 people instead of 55-70...
Times change..move on ..we know the fun is the people not the place..
