| Do all women HATE younger women?
Posted: 4/9/2008 12:04:53 PM | I was having a great discussion with a similarly aged female friend over lunch. I was discussing dating (she is single as well) and She made a Harsh comment about how She "Hated younger Women!" and how I was a retardo for looking to date someone 5-10 years younger. Now some of the other things she pointed out were of course compatibility issues and sexual experience but is it true that Women hate younger women? If so what are the reasons?
Is it not natural for a man to want a less mature woman and for a woman to want a more mature man? I have always had female 'friends' my age, because we get along better, similar resources to do stuff, but have always dated 5-10 years younger, is this now becoming unnatural?

Why no.. sounds like your friend might be jealous that a younger woman would be more attractive, fun, slimmer, etc... Could be a hundred reasons. But, no, not all women hate younger women. Or, sounds like your friend might wish you were more attracted in someone your own age (her).

Posted: 4/9/2008 1:14:03 PM | I find that sometimes is the case I feel. Not all older women are like that, but atleast from what I have found on this site, there are MANY that are. It's really sad when that happens. As you older, you should be aging gracefully and gaining wisdom. But sadly some go the opposite and still think and act like they did when they were in their 20's or teens. They try to make themselves and others beleive that they still are the same as they were 10 -20 years ago and that they still are as good looking and beautiful and sexy as they were back then, and they seem to be in denial of the reality more then anyone else it seems. Again now ALL older women are like this, but it seems atleast from this site and reading the profiles and forums that most are like that. I guesse there is jealousy there, and bitterness which is very sad. Also insecurity, but that happens. But somehow I seem to see more of that insecurity , anger, bitterness, judgmentalism and hate from some/many older women (like 35 and up) .
We can only hope and pray that those who are guilty of this come back to their senses, and smarten up and act their age.
All what I said above, applies to the Op's friend. OP, she is a jealous person it appears, and insecure, and she is still maybe living in a dream land, which is not good and it's sad. I would have her get some help maybe and just seek good counceling. | |

Younger women are not always less mature, hell I have met some women in thier early 20's that are more mature than some 40+ woman I have known. Here is and excellent example:

How is that a mature comment or frame of mind for that matter.
I feel that the age does not really matter its something that varies from person to person.

IMO...Attraction is natural, whether it's for someone older, younger or your same age. I think the scenario you describe has been "socially acceptable" and perhaps even expected, to some degree. They tend to be more indecisive, have less stability and generally chase after men who are dead ends because they haven't reached the age where trying to get a man to like you becomes a silly endeavor. Career, goals and personal growth are WAY more important than whether some asshat likes you, but you just don't get that until you're in your late 20s early 30s...
When it comes down to it, I see a lot of younger women who are chunkier than I am, or more out of shape (regional perhaps). Personally I think I am in better shape now physically, mentally, emotionally, financially than I was in my 20s. The only thing I miss about it is that feeling of your life ahead of you being unlimited... | |

Posted: 4/9/2008 2:49:57 PM | It all depends on if a woman is secure and if she is competative and greedy. I really enjoy the company of younger and older women. It matters absolutely nothing to me wha the age of a person is. I also don`t look at other women as sexually competative.
I`m not catty. But I see a ton of women that are. Those kind of women drive me crazy.
I really think it is a silly attitude , and they are missing alot out of life by being so self centered that they view other women as a threat to their own security. Plus plain and simply put, they are a big pain in the a$$. I won`t be around women like that. I don`t know how guys put up with it. I think they su*k.
If a 65 year old guy wants to cream himself over a 20 year old, that is his problem. To most young women, it just grosses them out anyways and I feel sorry for the poor girls,
having to put up with it. I certainly am not jealous of the attentions that some old horn dog has that will only date women alot younger. He would be shallow and wouldn`t have the type of qualities I want anyways, if a younger age is the main prerequisite. | |

The answer was no.. but.. I'm biting.
I don't understand the compatibility issues as being automatically assumed as equal between men and woman of like ages.. or.. the sexual experiences as the same. Everybody in and around your age group don't necessarily have the same amount.. or type of sexual experiences. Some younger women have had more sexual experiences than some older women.. age in itself doesn't negate the amount of time anyone has spent having/having had sex. Are we talking virgin hunting here? Sounds to me.. you both assume/ed alot.

Less mature? Why would anyone want someone that's "immature"? And.. by more mature.. are you talking about like my grandpas age? What's natural about the context of these questions?

Posted: 4/9/2008 5:15:00 PM | Sociologically speaking, men usually date younger women as a power move...As being older you are generally better off financially and thus a younger woman is less threatening. It is similar to the same reason that you often see high paid executives dating lower food chain employees.
I dont hate younger women, but I am not very old either. | |
