| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/10/2008 12:34:43 PM | | Yeah yeah they do suck. They have the occasional good match. But they're wrestlers make me sick doin the same 3 moves every week and omg what is they're story line writer like 10 years old or somethin? Lmao wwe is pathetic. Does anybody else watch ring of honor? I discovered it last year and wow that is wrestling at its best. I love roderick strong and claudio castagnoli. I live in a **** city full of marks (Houston) so its hard to find good wrestling. Roh saved my life. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/11/2008 1:22:45 PM | | Yeah I have watched ROH and been to a few of their shows here in NYC and New Jersey since 2004, but I've not had time to go to one since last May at their first PPV taping. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/11/2008 1:43:19 PM | The WWE screwed themselves when they bought their competition. What was a symbolic move back then turned around and bit them in the ass later on in terms of having a competitve company to go up against each week which sparked new creative ideas.
TNA as of now is not in the same league as the WWE and they won't be until they stop trying to act like the WWE. I'm dissapointed in TNA, they have a lot of talent but they keep on bringing in former WWE stars to headline their main events and that's getting them nowhere and the ratings shows. There have only been a couple times where TNA got higher then a 1.1 rating. Just like the WWE how many times do we have to see the same guys headline a main event week after week.

| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/30/2008 12:06:48 AM | I regretfully agree, hopefully I'm of a different opinion after saturday. I started showing my sons old WWF clips...Hogan , Roddy Piper, Undertaker with Paul Bearor..Randy Savage and Rick Flair. I loved it then. Mcmahon, in the 80's, turned the sport around...it was all brand new...the hype, the hollywood aspect. I respected Eric Biscoff for what he did with WCW...that, to me, was a serious wrestling. That Mo Fo gave Vince somethng to chew on. I suppose since Vince bought it ( it was defunct anyhow...the real reason Bishoff called it a day..TIme/Warner cancelled out all broadcast privelages...their polite way of saying we're not interested in wrestling) he has (Vince) thought that it was for the best to own everything...but now the storylines are dry, there is no fresh input from an outside source to keep it alive. Yeah, it backfired. I've followed Benoit since ECW, and he was the reason I tuned in...we all know what he did, but damn he could move in the ring! After that, I fell off the viewer polls. It's good to see that Undertaker still shines, and Flair still pops his head. But enough Vince. Work harder. We're going to see Wrestlemania Revenge live on saturday...my sons are ecstatic...ring side. But I always show my youngest (who is 7, and an aspiring acrobat) the older matches...even WCW when Eric had it tuned up and running. I turned on Smackdown last nite and I was dissapointed. I can't imagine how I'd have felt had I bought tickets to see it live...William Regal getting coronated? Just my thoughts. Watch old Stampede Wrestling...the way it used to look. Duynamite Kid, Rick Flair in his rime, the Fabulous Hulk Hogan (minusw receding hair) I've always enjoyed watching it evolve, but I think McMahon better do some thinking. Randy Orton is there Saturday, vs HHH vs Umaga...so it should be good. My favourite match was Orton vs Benoit in 2004. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/30/2008 12:08:32 AM | | Steel City...and that's sad...a 1.1 rating. WCW under Eric wa a 4.9 I think on avg, and he was hurting Vince for a couple years. Damn Time Warner for their assault on the WCW! | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/30/2008 12:44:07 AM | I agree about McMahon screwing himself by buying out his competition.
Wrestling is a dead sport now. It has been for quite some time.
I loved the golden era back in the late 80s and early 90s, though. The Ultimate Warrior was my hero growing up. Too bad he's a whack job in real life. He's living in character now. What a loony.
| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/30/2008 2:45:22 AM | we all know wrestling is real | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/30/2008 7:42:58 AM | | There is a bright side to William Regal becoming King of the Ring and being more involved in the story lines. He'll get back in the ring and start wrestling more. Regal as a lot of other performers are extremely underrated. I remember matches between Benoit nd Regal, and those were some of the best matches ever. Not some of this other crap that is on tv today. They are completely pushing the wrong people. Kennedy nd Punk should be pushed, not Triple H, Cena, and JBL. Talk about 3 move wrestlers. They have even less moves than Hogan ever had. It's completely pathetic. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 4/30/2008 11:08:33 PM | It is. I don't know how Hogan gained such star power..he spent half of his ring time addressing the audience...from day one. I think since Benoit, we;ll see a trend towards the "Clean Wrestler" aka CM Punk. More stunt wrestlers seem to be appearing too. It was Eric Bishoff who saw the NEw Japan Wrestling, and created the cruiser weight division...he saw people like Benoit who were real movers in the ring, and saw the integrity in that style. The old school balks at the new wave, claiming that it's gone to far away from actual wrestling. But it always was just a scripted story, before the WWF came into play. It always was a soap opera....but it's gone too far I think...there's precious little blood within the ranks of up and comers. If you're gonna tell us a story, make it real. I wish the WCW could have kept alive. Perhaps people will get tired of the one-move giants and a new twist will come into play. I watch old Stampede Wrestling alot. It's more interesting than monday night raw by a long stretch. | |

| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/4/2008 9:48:57 PM | ezzee...we just returned from Wrestlemania revenge, sat may 3 in hamilton, ON. Great show!! I hated Regal, but he was one of the highlights. Dragged Kennedy out to apologize to him, Kennedy gave him a big I....I....I'm NOT sorry..and Regal, as his superiour, ordered him to fight a tag team without a partner. Reagl teamed with Snitsky and they maimed Kennedy for a good long time in the ring. Great fricking match! All 3 of those guys worked the ring well. The whole card that night was great...I should have guessed the title match right away from the Photo program...HHH had the biggest picture on the cover...I thought Orton had it (World Title) Excellent match...Orton is pretty dramatic...street fight...garbage can, chairs, though really they minimized the use of the weapons. HHH got him finally with the sludgehammer. Good stuff!!! Seemed so different live...the ring seemed so small really when we walked up to it. I hate HHH though, and my sons hate him too. Bite me Hunter!!!!!

| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/5/2008 4:00:52 AM | I think WWE has gone downhill. The need new writers. They need to fire a lot of the guys who are just taking up space and hire some new talent. I was counting on Lashley coming back but now he is going to TNA. I mean, we can get rid of Umaga and The Great Kalie(sp). They take up space and cannot wrestle and they are just a couple to name off the top of my head.
Jeff needs a push. Thankfully, when his suspension is done I think Vince is going to give him a push and take him beyond mid card status. We need characters again like Rock, Stone Cold, etc. Wrestling is about wrestling but it is also about the promos. Not many can cut a good promo now a days. I dislike Cena. He does not take chances but at least he can cut a kickass promo and make me giggle.
I just want to again smell what The Rock is cooking.
I need to see another Foley hell in a cell match.
And I wish they would stop making Taker job to everyone.

| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/5/2008 7:45:02 AM | | You should consider going to independent shows if you ever get a chance. I'm not sure what is available in your area, but the shows usually are fairly cheap and while it may not be WWE people, but they are up and comers nd fun to watch. Many of these are not doing it for the money but because they love the sport. It's a great time. In my area, I remember watching Mr. Kennedy (then known as "Kamikaze" Ken Anderson), CM Punk, Divari, and ODB. Watching them go from the independents to the big time is a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it. | |

| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/5/2008 1:14:58 PM | WCW ended so bad in the ratings it was already gone. At the end of WCW's reign, they were getting an avg of 1.9 rating even under Bischoff.
Time Warner crippled WCW and AOL killed WCW off. When Turner merged with Time Warner back in late 1997 , WCW started changing. Instead of Bischoff having full control of WCW, Time Warner now had partial control of WCW and that's when WCW started running into trouble. Time Warner wanted to really kill off WCW, but they couldn't because Turner still owned 50% of Turner broadcasting networks. So the next best thing they did was to cut WCW productions cost nearly in half and put more limits on the WCW product. Then when AOL merged with Time Warner back in early 2001, AOL wanted nothing to do with wrestling which gave Time Warner the added support it needed to kill WCW off once and for all. Turner never wanted WCW to die, but when the Time Warner\AOL merger took place, Turner only owned 33% of Turner broadcasting networks by then and he couldn't do much to save WCW after that. I blame Turner in the end for merging with Time Warner in the first place. Turner's greed for money bit him in the ass in the end. If he would have never merged with Time Warner WCW would still be on the air today.
Bishcoff along with Media Ventures attempted to buy WCW back in 2001 for 40 million dollars from Time Warner\AOL aslong as they could keep WCW on their networks, but Time Warner\AOL declined that offer and instead, sold it to the WWE for 2.5 million dollars along with an agreement that Time Warner\AOL couldn't produce put any wrestling on their networks for 6 years until 2007.
After the Time Warner\ AOL split back in late 2005 Turner gained backed his network shares that he lost from the AOL merger and expressed interest in putting another wrestling company together to put on his networks, but i haven't heard anything else since then and that was over a year an 1/2 ago.

| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/5/2008 9:41:34 PM | | Where is Bischoff now? I know he was "fired" by Vince, but that was a storyline, I thought. Shame on Time Warner/Aol...that was a Golden Era for a brand of wrestling that basically sucked historically. He had a much better concept going than WWE did, when WCW was in its last stages. It was darker toned, he had the right cards. It was no longer the "give away tickets to fill the small arena" type show. I'm wondering...when Hogan turned heel on WCW, Eric said that not even the commentators knew, as he wanted the natural reaction, even from the TV voices. But if you watch that match, one of them said, as Hogan came out "who's side is he on?" as if he was building to the heel angle. Anyone know the real truth about that? LEt me know, I'm curious. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/5/2008 10:56:23 PM | I would watch ROH, but I can't seem to find out what channel it's on.

| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/6/2008 6:49:48 PM | | The only thing that can help the wwe and tna is better storylines and intersting wreslters. Wrestling is a dying business right now just look at the ratings. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/6/2008 10:10:23 PM | | Bischoff along with Hogan are putting together a wrestling reality show called "Wrestling With The Stars" on CMT. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/7/2008 1:20:26 PM | | That might look neat. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/8/2008 12:08:43 AM | Actually I wouldn't say the business is dying perse.
Seems this year was the most financially successful one in recent memory. That's actually quite impressive consider how much people pirate from PPV revenues. But I guess the kiddos love their Cena...
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/8/2008 3:40:56 AM | | Cena just needs to turn heel. If the WWE wants to get back to big ratings turn Cena heel. Most people boo him already anyhow. HHH is a face, Orton is a heel, but doesn't have that love to hate from the fans like a HHH as a heel. This is why I think Cena would be a great heel, because he already has the love to hate with most fans. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/8/2008 8:41:11 AM | | If you turn Cena heel, you leave a large void at the top then for a face. Now, granted, I think it could be filled very well by either a CM Punk or Mr. Kennedy (face turn needed for him), but you would need to fill that void. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/8/2008 2:57:59 PM | | No you don't. HHH is face and he seems to be getting over just as well as he did as a heel, then you got HBK which is still a face. The problem is there is now more faces then there are heels. You have HHH, Cena, HBK as the top faces compared to JBL and Orton and most people don't consider them as top heels anyway and the ratings show. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/8/2008 6:55:07 PM | Cena is screwed either way. He gets booed as a face and when (IF) he turns heel he'll get cheered.
I am very doubtful he'll ever turn. I guess they fear the merchandising if he were to go "bad". Alas...
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/9/2008 1:11:34 PM | | I don't think he will, i think the there is a lot more love to hate relationship with Cena then there is anything else. I mean, when the rock turned heel for the second time people booed the crap out of him. The Rock and Cena are in the same boat, people booed the rock when he was a face like they are doing with Cena now to the point where WWE turned him heel and it paid off. I think it would be in the WWE's best interest to turn Cena heel and the best way of doing that is by screwing over the now face HHH. That would get Cena huge heat from the fans. | |
| wwe sucks! Posted: 5/9/2008 7:36:13 PM | You want heel heat? Cena ending Taker's streak.
Imagine it...
