Because I Love You
I will hold your hand when we walk
I will listen intently when you talk
I will dry your tears when you cry
I will hold you close when you sigh
I will do my best to make you smile
I will make you laugh once in awhile
I will support you in all that you do
I will do all of this because I love you

Posted: 4/12/2008 7:43:35 AM | That is a very beautiful poem, OP. You need to get it printed, framed and give a copy of it to each of your children.
No matter how old our children are; when they are young and need our guidance and need they are adults and moved away, these are the things we as parents will always do for our children. The love between a parent and child is the most pure form of love there can be.
You sound like a very nurturing father....thank you for sharing the poem with us!! | |
