| ok ladies what does honesty get? Posted: 4/10/2008 9:51:40 PM | You're looking for long term, right? But you haven't taken the time to make your profile look appropriate for a man your age, or to make sure the pics you post show you in a good light.
First of all, you need to capitalize the first letter or every sentence, as well as the pronoun ""I." Yes, it really does matter.
Secondly, do you have a profession? You let us know you smoke weed but won't say what you do to for a living. Strange omission. Fix that, please.
Too honest? Don't know. It's all pretty rambling, like you wrote it when you were, you know, baked. You mention you will "not hurt" a woman twice. That made alarm bells go off in my head. Is this an issue?
At least four of the pics you posted should go, probably five. These would be the ones that don't show you in a very good light (red cap, front of truck, scowl on face, the "elbow surgery" one and the "sticking my tongue out at the camera" one) or they're pics of your kid. Seems like a lot of people object to the kid pic thing. Sure he's cute and the love of your life and all that; he just really doesn't belong on a profile about you.
Fix that stuff and post here again for a second look. If you're really not sure what should and should not go in a profile, check out this thread:

I agree with several things already posted.
Yes, you could have a better main picture, one alittle more flattering, not that there is anything wrong with you, but maybe not so close up.
She mentioned the capitalization, sentence structure and the 'i' thing. Stop with all of the 'lol's, they are a tad overdone.
Under do you want more kids you put: 'prefer not to say', which might make or break the deal right there. Decide, you can use 'undecided' as another option.
Yes, a profession is a must. If your no longer able to work, laid off, drawing SSI, hitman, or drug dealer whatever...it really needs to be filled out. Even something humorous will work, and when you are getting to know someone then tell them what's real.
The 'first date' section could be filled out without too much thought, I find myself amazed at the amount of people that don't put much there.
Go over your mail settings to make certain that the age range, distance and such is listed.
Good luck | |
