Posted: 4/14/2008 9:19:48 AM | | I recently attended a party at Bentley's in Fishers, Indiana, and while I was having a good time, I had to leave early because I was tired of all the smoke I had to breath in. Being a non-smoker and seeking another non-smoker, that got me thinking. Why don't we see how many people would be interested in attending a non smoking party in the Indianapolis area, since many people are not looking to be paired with a smoker anyway and why mingle with them, breathing in their smoke, if you're not even interested in them? Please reply to me, and if I can get enough interest, I will see about finding a place to have one or somebody else, if they are so inclined, can do likewise. | |

Only people of a certains race. then maybe a non catholic or christian party. after that one let have a politic party for only democrats voting for obama and one for those voting for hiliary. then after all these great times we have with people who are carbon copies of ourselves, we can finally have party where we just don't invite you.
Sorry for being an ***hole, but i'm getting really tired of people putting people down for smoking. Maybe that's not what you meant to do, but then again maybe you did write all those drogatory comments.
Regardless, i wish you luck when you have your non-smoking party. Pat Flyns is a fun non-smoking area. | |

Posted: 4/15/2008 11:06:47 AM | I think this is a great idea. Count me in. I don't date smokers either and I don't have a problem with them. Some of my best friends are smokers. It's their choice if they want to spend big bucks to kill themselves. *lol* However, I think it's only polite for them to take it outside so the rest of us don't have to be exposed to it. Since these places allow smoking inside, the natural next step would be to have a non-smoking party.

one for the people that do not drink
let's have one for the pipe smokers

one for people that drives 2006 and newer cars
one for people that attended college

Posted: 4/15/2008 6:17:03 PM | Tony I applaud your efforts. However, Plenty of Fish only allows events to be posted that is open to all members.
The only way a party that excludes members would be approved is if the venue was non smoking. In any case you cannnot post a non smokers only event. It will get deleted rather quickly.
If you find a venue that is non smoking then you would be able to post the event HOWEVER you would not be able to limit who signs up nor who shows up. That would be entirely up to the venue.
You might be able to say in the Body of the event post that this is a non smoking facility. I think that would be acceptable.
OHIO as an example is a non smoking state by law, Florida and California are also.

There are places I ask people if it would be ok if I smoked but not at a bar you kind of expect it there. I do have friends at Memories that dont smoke and if I talk to them I make sure I am not smoking. And yes ya smell bad when you smoke but at the same time you smell bad when you fart now tell me how ya stop that. | |
