For the month of May Legends will be bringing in a mix of Karaoke and DJ dance music! All you singers out there practice up! Here's your chance to be a star! Come out and meet other local POF singles at the Michiana POF May Party at Legends Restaurant located in Edwardsburg MI on May 10th .
Legends has also informed us that the summer tent is NOW UP! So this month the party will be an indoor/outdoor one. Troy (the owner of Legends) has set up a large tent complete with enclosed sides, heaters (incase its cold), lights and palm trees. Are you ready for summer? This party is going to get the summer started!
If you missed the first parties we've held here....don't miss this one!! The first one was great, the second one better, and this one will be even better! If you made it out please post a comment here and let all the newbies know how much fun we've been having. Also, invite your POF friends who didn't make it! Bring along as many non- members as you'd like.
Legends Restaurant is a very casual and relaxed atmosphere, and a top rated restaurant as well. Entertainment will begin at 9pm, but I strongly urge arriving early enough for dinner.They have fantastic food here.
Don't forget, Legends also offers the Legends Bus to transport members to/from local hotels. If you'd like information on the hotels available, just send Russ or myself a message and we'd be glad to help. HOWEVER, Troy also has fully furnished apartments available for the night. These apartments are normally rented out for football parties, etc. They are very, very clean, extremely nice, and huge in comparison to a hotel room. He normally rents these apartments for $125 per night, but offers them to all POF members for ONLY $75 for the night of our party. They are aprox. 250 feet from Legends. Thats within walkin distance folks! Trust us, you WILL NOT be disappointed if you choose to stay there! A few of us shared one and it was inexpensive and great! If anyone would like to see pictures of the apartment, just send me a message.

You can go there and they are the last 5 pics. I have a feeling these rooms are going to go quick! We've already reserved ours, so don't wait too long! I talked to Troy again today and he said that if ppl want to share the apartments and there aren't enough bedrooms, just let him know and he can get some matresses to throw on the floor, or some bunkbeds, or something. I hope everyone realizes how much Troy does to make sure we have everything we need for our parties. He's a great guy!!!
I also want to mention, if you check out the pics, you'll notice there is a full kitchen in the apartments. So, if you wanted to you could even bring breakfast groceries for after the party. The kitchens are fully furnished with dishes, pots and pans, etc. Honestly, you can't go wrong with these apartments!

Posted: 4/25/2008 7:01:35 AM | I've always wanted to attend a gathering from POF....never happened last year, then it was winter, plus I was dating someone for awhile, now I'm active on here again...and this isn't too far away...but! it's the wrong weekend for me. I hope you have one that I can attend and soon.
My only other problem is, I'm not good walking cold into a group of people that I know absolutely no one! It's a shame, but it's a thing of mine. I'm good one on one and in small groups, especially if I know at least one person, should be interesting, if you end up having a get together on a weekend I am available, if I can get over my uneasiness meeting with a crowd of strangers! | |

As far as walking into a crowd where you know no one...we hear that from a lot of ppl. And I understand its hard. Here's a suggestion...I know POF is primarily to meet a person of the opposite sex...however, I have met some awesome women on here as well, whom I now consider my friends. Maybe you could email some of the women who've signed up and chat a bit via email. You may be able to find one who is in the same boat as you and doesn't want to come alone. Maybe you could meet at a certain time in the parking lot and walk in together!!! Like I said, I've met some pretty cool women on here...most everyone is very friendly. If that doesn't work...I'd be glad to come out to the parking lot and walk in with you. I know MI Niteowl would say the same. We make it a point to do what we can to make everyone feel comfortable. ( Much better than on a puter all night or watching the E channel). If you keep that in mind it will help. I know the last one I went to I almost did not go, because I did not know a soul! ANYONE...no matter what color they're skin is is free to attend. We actually had some people of other ethnicities signed up for the last party. Angel, you should go and meet some of these fine people. I'm sure, if nothing else, you'll make some good friends and maybe even find a connection....if that is what you are looking for. People show up at every party who haven't signed up. Believe me...I've witnessed it. Go man....seriously!

My hope is to get more pp who live around me to come to this one so they do not have to drive as far. So maybe you can do the same and plan one for South Bend to draw a wider range of people to attend a party in your town. South Bend is bigger than Edwardsburg Mi and you have a better chance of attracting a wider range of single people. Just a thought, that is how I am marketing to new people. | |

I'm getting ready to send out the mass email this afternoon, so I'm hoping this will help our numbers go up. In April, the last week before the party we more than doubled in the number of sign ups. Hopefully, this month will be that way! I'm very surprised our number is so low. But, regardless of the number of ppl, I'm very confident we'll have a great time!
Angel...dabearfan and beachsunlover are both exactly right! Our parties are open to ANYONE and EVERYONE! The only restriction is anyone under 21 is not permitted in the bar after 9pm, and thats a Michigan law that we cannot control. We did have some people of other ethnicities signed up for our April party, as well as some who came who were not signed up. I, like dabearfan, would like to extend a person invite to you Angel!!! I honestly don't think you'd be disappointed if you decided to attend. Everyone is VERY friendly and will make you feel welcome!
