Wall to Wall sardines!!! I noticed a lot af pairing going on and thats what it's all about!
Thanks to all who made an appearance on the night , i made a lot of friends and thats what it's all about for me personally, you can pick your friends!!
Linda was the hostess with the mostess, what a lovely and sexy woman! and without her bottle there would have been no meet! Time for someone else to pick up the gauntlet and host the next one!
I was there to support you Edinburgh! Keep it going!!!

Posted: 4/19/2008 3:13:53 AM | Well what can I say apart from thanks to all who made the effort to come along and braved it by coming alone. Hope you all had a great night.....and hope you managed to locate love or if not made a few friends along the way.
Thanks to Alan for coming through from the weeg and printing off all the stickers....I had great fun slapping them on you! Thanks too Issy and hope you had a good one.
Well loads of you said it was a great night and when is the next one.....thats up to you...go ahead and organise something and as you can see loads of folk are up for it.
Being the host was great fun...Ihope I got round you all. If you didn't get a chance to chat to me just drop me an email if you want to get in touch.

But the momentum fizzled and it has been forgotten in the history POF, so well done Ednburgh for starting up again, I hope you continue and your meets become as successful as the others that happen around the country.

It is hard to get your confidence i know , the meets in Glasgow are an instant social life for us and once you attend you will meet new friends male and female and have a great time! Changed my life and made me more outgoing!
I hope it has prompted some of you Easties to keep the momentum going and have more meets!
I am here to help with any advice you need and as usual you are ALL welcome to visit the Glasgow meets until your next meet!

Ah the memories........definitely worth it!
Forgot to thank all the lovely folk that bought me a drink which is obviously why i feel soooooo bad....or is it cos I switched to the demon wine at the end?
Now I'm supposed to be going to another party tonight......don't know if I can cope....anyone else feeling their age...or are you feeling someone elses??

Posted: 4/19/2008 7:34:33 AM | I would just like to say thanks to the organisers last night they did a great job. I had a really good night and so did most people that I spoke to. Heres hoping the next one will be just as successful.
As always I made a few new friends and hopefully so did everyone else.
Lets get out thinking caps on and decide on where and what to do for the next meet. A lot of people thought it might have been nice to have somewhere with a dance floor so we could get up and have a wee boogie (im sure it was women lol) so if anyone has any suggestions then i am quite willing to help out with trying to organise something.
Another thing is that it doesnt have to be a night in a pub. There are meets where you go bowling, camping (i have been to one of those and loved it) whatever people fancy doing really.
Once again thanks to Locatelove, Issyco (who I kept meeting in the ladies loo) I wasnt there all night gabbing honest lol, and Gonnynodaethat for all his help and coming through from weegieland with his fishy stickers lol.
Ive no idea of the numbers but there was a hell of a lot of people there so it was a really good turnout.

What a great night. I couldnt believe how many turned up. It just shows how much these partys are needed. I met too many new friends to mention, and to be honest ive forgotten half theyre names. A group of us ended up finishing the night off at the jam house too, so it was a late night for me, and a very sick morning.haha. OH! and the big question, Did i meet someone extra nice? well! Lets say i have my eye on someone,so watch this space! Big thanks to all the hosts. CAN WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE SOON? with a wee dance floor next time would be good.or even a kareoke would be brill. ps would love to here from all the nice fishys i met. so message me soon. see u all at the next one.mandy | |

Checkout whats happening in Glasgow, may help with ideas for your meets! Friday was the first meet i have been at where u could actually hear each other talk without music and it was refreshing! Everyone likes different nights like live bands, karaoke, dj or conversation pit! Who will step up to the plate and host your next meet??
The perks are:-- Gets you noticed, you get the chance to talk to everyone at your venue, make lots off new friends,Learn more about site software and get to put stickers on ladies/mans chests!
The disadvantages are:- Sleepless nights, stress, seeing the person u fancy get chatted up by someone else, women complaining about the blocked up toilet in the pub and price of drink!
If your up to the task ,organise a night!!! Edinburgh is waiting for u to step up!!!

Just wanted to thank the hosts for organising this meet. I had a great time and met some really cool folk!! Thanks stephennnn for your comment abt disabled access! I did check it out before hand and was told it was accessible!! Unfortunately we were in the back bar but there were so many fishes there we could of been in the front bar actually we ended up taking over the whole place LOL!! Anyway I managed the stairs ok but fell off my seat at end of night LOL Too many vinos I think!! Anyway a few folk found it hard to hear me over all the voices so if you fancy meeting up again somewhere quieter drop me a line!! Allyballybe if you ever in Edinburgh give me a shout!! Felt like Cinderella !! Must get organised to stay later next time though hangover was bad enough as it was !!

I had a lovely time and met wonderful people there, the loos were fantastic had many interesting chats in there!!!!Who knows if the "man" is there anyway we will see and enjoy the seeing along the way

Well Graham I quite agree that its shocking that all us gorgeous ladies are still looking for love but there were a few hunks there too so would love to hear about all the hook ups and then we will see this night was really a success for locating lurve!
Sheils...sorry you had some trouble..I know I had advised someone of the situ with the back bar and not sure if it was you but you seemed to have a ball anyway....
Well I met loads of fantastic on the night and just waiting on some of you getting in touch...if you know what I mean... I don't always wear orange you know
Well kisseylips looks like its over to you for the next one...and will look forward to coming along and supporting you whatever you choose to do. No doubt I'll organise another one when I have recovered from fingeritis...(spending toooo much time on laptop)as I had a ball......over 200 people what a fantastic night and everyone there for the same reason (i think) and loads o chatting....exchanging numbers and just having a bloomin' good time.
