Posted: 4/21/2008 11:32:59 AM | We need to start making plans for our July 12th Float Trip ...I have provided information about the day...Everyone needs to bring coolers with their beverages for the day and we will stop about midway and eat if everyone wants to bring stuff to eat as well...
Everyone needs to find a partner or more and make their own reservations for canoes , rafts ect...
Dont wait till the last minute or you may miss out...
So I will start this ,,I need a couple of people to ride with ,,I cant paddle i am no good at it...oh by the way I am scared to death of Snakes too...
Pineville to Shady Beach (8 miles, 4-6 hours)
Most popular float with many gravel bars and swimming holes. Nice, easy float with time to relax and enjoy a day on the Elk River and still be back in time for dinner! $32.00

Group Camping: Your camping area is based upon the size of your group. We will have a designated area for your group based upon the amount of canoes, rafts, or kayaks that have deposits. That is how we determine the needs for your group based upon your reservation. Your camping area will have picnic tables, trash cans, and a burn barrels.
Also everyone needs to bring their own meat and a covered dish for The Sat. Night BBQ please post what you are bringing

Posted: 5/1/2008 6:32:24 AM | | this sounds like fun .I'm trying to do the same thing up here trying to get a multi state float trip.The problem here with me all the St.louie fish all say that the trip is too far for them to drive LOL.But so far I had read a few post that a few drove down to the lake of the O's for the weekend and drove to KC the weekend too for a party MMMMMMM.But say the float its too far MMMMMMm its just over 220 miles to the North fork but all most 300 miles to KC and too the Lake of the O's.OOOO well just ****ing about the St.Lou fish LOL. | |

FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE NOT AWARE. THE COUNTY AND RESORT OWNERS ALONG THE ELK HAVE DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB OF CLEANING UP THE RIVER AND CORRECTING DAMAGE FROM TZ?XSIN CHICKEN. THERE ARE ALSO NEW FLOAT RULES LIKE NO GLASS CONTAINERS ON THE RIVER OR BANKS. TOM | |
