What physical feature would make you nudge your mate and say "She's got better legs than I thought!"?
I don't mean "Legs like Cameron Diaz" - I mean, what sort of calves, thighs, ankles, overall shape and length? | |

I imagine most would prefer legs that were blemish free, no cellulite, and seemed to be in proportion to the rest of her body. | |

Your theory is mostly correct.
Women worry about all the LITTLE piddly details. But often forget about the big picture.
Let's take the example of the woman who could definitely lose some weight. She cares about her hair, makeup, nails, clothes. She is extremely nice to people. She goes to great lengths for these things. But for some reason, diet and exercise didn't seem to make the agenda.
Let's take the example of the very attractive woman, with a horrible personality. Because she's attractive, she'll get attention. She'll keep getting attention, but only for a short time. She meets a lot of guys, waiting for the "right one". But, somehow being nice to people didn't make the cut. She doesn't need to fix that, she gets plenty of attention! She may not even see it in herself.
You're a WHOLE woman. Inside AND out. You're not a set of components. No one buys a car just because it has a nice stereo, but it can be appreciated. But, someone might buy a car with a few dents. | |

This ad displayed a picture of a sheer rock face with a female climber upon it, completely obscured by her gear except for one of her lower legs.
I said: "Yeah, so?"
He said: "She's hot."
F: "How do you know?"
He said: "You can just tell..."
He was obviously a calf man. 
In a woman, I prefer she possess the types of physical features that make MY physical features "nudge". Differs from user to user.

I imagine most would prefer legs that were blemish free, no cellulite, and seemed to be in proportion to the rest of her body. Add in smooth, whether naturally hairless or shaved, and you have the perfect legs.
My theory was correct. Women have much higher standards for themselves then men ever bother to apply. Of course. There is a reason that The Beautiful South did a song called "Perfect 10". A size 10 is as thin as most men want. | |

And we are for the most part less critical at the end of the day if your legs are a deal breaker there is only 3 possibilities...
1 - you really have bad looking legs
2- the guy is such a pretentious douche bag he cant get over it
3- the guy has a fetish which follows an archetype that you do not fit hence his desire isnt satisfied | |

As for being 'naturally hairless', does that happen?

Sheesh, with the responses above, I guess that means I have to wear a skirt and shave my legs, dang, an I thought wearing a tight pair of jeans that show off my long legs was good enough, now you want me to shave them too??

Posted: 4/23/2008 10:55:18 AM | | I always get complements on my legs, a little chubby in the thighs, but compliments from men, even though there is NO way I could pass for long legged or truly toned (my calves are) and I've always got bruises or cuts or scraped because I'm always up to something physical that causes that, and tanned? pale as a sheet. So I would say, yeah, men's standards are much lower than women's. | |
