Posted: 4/28/2008 6:46:33 PM | I was bopping around at work the other day, when a co-worker snuck behind, thinking that playing a trick of me was highly amusing and obviously the high point of his day….this not a good idea when a) your work place is a mortuary 2) the person your about to scared the shite of is holding a Ryker Saw at the time…..anyway the reason I didn’t hear him was I had my beloved Ipod was in the ears …my Ipod fell to the ground as I prissed myself off the ceiling from said very funny, hahah prank…
As my Ipod clattered onto the floor, my colleague picked it up to hand it back to me only to hear the embarrassing tune of “Mamma Mia” by Abba blaring from the Ipod..
I grinned sheepishly, then embarrassingly and the rudely snatched the Ipod back from him , frantically looking for the off button…..my colleague then informed me that the beauty of the Ipod is that we could listen to all our dag songs without judgment…..and that our
Ipod tunes said a lot about us……so what’s on your Ipod at the mo and what does it say about you ? Ok me:
Ok I have Abba., we’ve established that, .What can I say ?…boppy songs, great to sing along too…no effort music…I’m guilty, ashamed but I still love them
Pearl Jam…..love Eddie and the boys…need their soulful tunes for serious quiet work being undertaking in mortuary

Rock Oz; Big Chill soundtrack;
variously Jimmy Barnes, ACDC, Van Morrison, J.O'K; Masters Apprentices, Queen, Rose Tattoo, Eagles, Dire Straights, Green Day and many more!

Posted: 4/28/2008 11:49:13 PM | Dark.....when you see people on the bus/train or walking around with (mostly) white earphones in their ears with a cord leading into their pockets. An Ipod is what is at the end of the cord! They may have been happy to see you as they are just very small.
Personally, I don't like using them. I would prefer not to shut the sounds out from around me. When I was travelling around USA I bought a small mp3 player, but I guess the only time I used it when I was on a train from San Diego to LA and half a carriage away there was a woman talking.... it was the legendary loud American and talked without a break about mostly office gossip etc. My suitcase was downstairs but I went down and dug the player out! Good ole CCR!

You obviously have no real understanding of the term "embarressing". Now if you had said one of your 24-year-old daughters' friends had posted footage of you dancing to Britney Spears at said daughters recent birthday party on her myspace page, then I might believe you understand... and before you ask NO you can't have the URL.
