When profiles don't indicate 'not available'
Posted: 4/29/2008 7:52:14 AM
I am new to this site and I am just wondering how many people are attached to someone else and it is not reflected on their profile. I have had the experience of contacting someone after reading their profile and received the answer back that he has been seeing someone else since October and is now engaged but his profile stated that he was 'looking'. I replied back to him and stated that his profile should reflect his comitment to someone, if that is his intention, and that I would not have contacted him if I had known that he was not available. He has since then changed his profile to state that.
My questions: Is that a normal thing on here?
What is your take on that?

Happy Fishing to all!

A lot of people use this site because they like the forums, which is fine , but im with you they should have the decency to say they are not looking to date to avoid confusion. Good luck in your search.

As you can see from my profile I have indicated that I am not available, however when I was available I did contact one or two ladies to be met with the "sod off you ugly little runt I am seeing someone" or words to that effect.
It leads me to believe they are either looking for something better, or just rather than saying I am not interested in you use the "seeing someone" as an excuse.
Either way, in my book they don't deserve me, I do have standards, very low, but they are still standards.
