The German survey found that the more educated a woman was, the less likely it was that she would be satisfied by sex.
In the study 62 per cent of women who had completed their education said they often had problems achieving orgasm.
Only 38 per cent of women with a lower educational qualification said they had such problems.
The study conducted by a German lifestyle website surveyed over 2,000 women between the ages of 18 and 49.

So, um no, it is not the education but more likely the mindest that the man is supposed to blow them away instead of figuring out that the woman is in the driver's seat in regard to her own satisfaction.
It is really interesting, actually, I think an educated woman would be more inclined to start reading if she is not happy with her sex life and figure out what to do to make it better. | |

Posted: 4/29/2008 9:03:24 AM | I can only speak for myself but I know I don't orgasm from sex, just from masturbation. And I am a member of MENSA. Take that for what it's worth, but I'm sure there are plenty of intelligent women who DO have orgasm after orgasm.
I do find, conversely, that out of women I know, the less intelligent ones are more likely to enjoy sex just for sex, are more likely to boast about "getting laid", seem more able to have sex with abandon. The smarter ones are usually more concerned with relationships and a million questions that come from that. That's not really related to orgasming, but could be related to an inability to live in the moment, which seems to afflict smarter people.
A side note about that is that smarter people are more likely to have anxiety disorders and depression, which could be a factor as well. | |

Posted: 4/29/2008 9:23:57 AM | Maybe they are having trouble having orgasms b/c they are German women. Maybe northern european/germanic women have a harder time orgasming in general. You know the stereotype of the pinched faced teutonic woman with the uptight demeanor that screams sexual repression. There are all kinds of sexual stereotypes like the hot latina who is insanely passionate about sex.
Another flaw in the quesitons is in the criteria you give for your assertion, you fail to establish what criteria was used as a bright line to distinguish between more educated and less educated women. For example, if you wrote that 62% of all women with a 4 year college degree orgasmed less then those with only a high school education then that may lend more credance to your assertion. If you are collecting survey data from a bunch of 18-20 year olds with only a high school education and you are doing the same with a bunch of 23-25 year olds that have gone on and finished college then perhaps the age difference is the decisive factor in less orgasm action.
From my experience, some the kinkiest most orgasmic women I have ever known were well educuted, you know, the mousy, skinny, bookish librarian type with glasses who likes getting it in the stacks or she rides you like she's racing in the Kentucky derby in private.
To answer your question, it is harder to know what you mean by "satisfied with sex."
Does that mean physical or emotional satisfaction? I do not believe intelligence plays that much of a role in whether someone is physically satisfied with sex.

Just because they had more school does not mean they are smarter or Brainy as you say.
