| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 5/1/2008 8:18:01 PM | I was channel surfing and I came across an old episode of "Lost in Space" that was on. I remember watching this when I was a kid, and remember how much I despised Dr Smith who was such a sniveling whiner, and I got to thinking what were your favorite shows?
And and can I just tell you, that the two guys, look really cute it their space suits still!

| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 5/1/2008 8:41:09 PM | And now there's more than 57 channels and nothin's on.........
Where's Barbara Eden when we need her?
And, since Johnny left, Saturday night (every night of course, but Saturday could watch more) has never ever ever been the same. A true hallmark and reminder of a notable era gone by.

| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 5/1/2008 8:43:32 PM | Did you say Barbara Feldon or Barbara Eden? Did you know they were coming out with a remake of Get Smart? I'm sure it will not be nearly as good as the original. I always wanted a shoe phone.
Did you guys watch HR Puff n Stuff? I'm pretty sure that Sid and Croft were high when they came up with the concept for that show, but when I was a kid, I loved it.
::singing:: HR Puff n Stuff, who you need when things get rough...

I remember "Beanie and Cicil" CBG! They were on right before Yoggi Bear and Hucklberry Hound. Okay, now one only the LA locals will get: Did Hobo Kelly every say YOUR name on your birthday?

| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 5/1/2008 9:01:16 PM | CBG: The Wild Wild West
Sorry, Barb wasnt' referencing SNL, but rather "The Tonight Show". I don't want to sound like a suit, but Johnny's classy deliveries were IT for me! Jay never cut it from his first night, I don't know who they think they're fooling. .... also am sorry to say that I never once watched SNL. But I know lots of good actors/actresses/comedians came out of it. Still miss Gilda in particular.

| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 5/1/2008 9:09:25 PM | WILD BILL HICKOK and the commercial was for Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops. (they're TOPS!)
They dropped the word SUGAR and they are now just "Pops". I can still sing that stupid commercial.............................ARGGHHHHHHHHH!
|
| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 5/1/2008 9:09:51 PM | The Ghost and Mrs. Muir but didn't watch it....
We could really be here all night if we stared commercials and jingles. Plop, plop, fizz, fizz..... Same for 'the annual specials' such as the Bob Hope Christmas Shows, etc.....
The Flipp Wilson Show, The Sunny and Cher Show, The Captain and Tenille Show, the John Davidson Show, .........
Let's Make a Deal w Monte Hall
another interview show: The Merve Griffin Show, long before Jeopardy and Wheel
I can't remember the name of a show that cracked me up every time I saw it. It was about a lunatic family and the tall guy's name was Burt. .........oh SOAP! I used to just laugh on that one a lot! A lot of good actors came outa that one too.
Manix, Magnum PI, Hawaii 50, Rockford Files and those ones that were mysteries on NBC, but a different one each week: McCloud, Ellery Queen (eventually its own show), the one with George Papard, the others......those were good "who done its?"
