| when I try to view profiles it takes me to the registration page. Posted: 5/4/2008 6:34:05 PM | | Logging in or out isn't the problem. The problem is that this site is timed to "time out" after a short period of time. It's pretty annoying. They should lengthen the time considerably. If you'll notice (and if you do online banking) you'll see your account will time out after a period of time and if you want to see/examine more, you'll have to log in all over again. On bank sites, I guess it's good security, but for a dating site, I doubt it's necessary to time out after such a short period of time. Just my two centavos. | |

This is probably a session problem. When you right-click and open in a new tab or a new window, the new window/tab is supposed to inherit the same session. But the session is being dropped. This is a Microsoft IIS problem, not a POF problem. POF has the fun of rolling back, or putting a fix in when it becomes available.
But then again, I could be way off. lol.
I've been on and off here a few times over two years and haven't run into any show stopping bugs. | |

| when I try to view profiles it takes me to the registration page. Posted: 5/5/2008 12:01:34 AM | | I'm having the same problem, Gringo. It's not a time-out issue though fellas. I'm actually already logged in, and remain logged in, but can not view profiles without being redirected to a 2-step registration page. Actually, even before I logged in (but was casually perusing), it was sending me there. Once there, it rejects the requested information I provide because "that username and email address are already in use". Duh... yeah... I know, they are being used by me! For some reason, I can't view my own profile, but I know it's still there because it lets me log in and then lets me choose EDIT, but not VIEW. Haven't been to the site for several weeks, and never had this problem before. Can find no way to inform a techie or get around it. | |
