Posted: 5/4/2008 8:17:10 PM | Susie, when we got to the place to figure out where we'd be, the manager said, you want the whole place; we basically filled it up; they probably seat no more than 100 I bet on the floor and then have bar tables and other seating around the bar; he did say to come back whenever though; I enjoyed myself as was a smaller venue and easier to get around and talk to folks..we probably had our 50 and a few more; there were some folks sitting in back, I asked if they were with POF and the one said, no but we're all single so I told them about the site!
Steve, I think we all drank our fill..I was a tad tipsy by the end of the night; pics to be posted soon. | |

It was a GREAT time and I enjoyed meeting some new peeps for sure!
I was suppose to have two friends show up..one to busy and the other was sick.....oh well....they missed a FUN time for sure...and I agree small parties can be just as FUN as the BIG ones!
Look another party coming our way at Busch's Grove.....going to keep that one in mind...not sure yet!

I know that I had a blast and got to mingle around and meet some newbies, as well as some oldies (not age wise, just ones that have been around the POF party circuit like myself) and I must say, from the looks of everyone around, I think most people really enjoyed themselves. With the smaller venues like this I think that people aren't as intimidated to get up and mingle with complete strangers. I know I wasn't intimidated by talking to complete strangers, but I think that the margaritas at the beginning of the night and the Mango Malibu and Sprites later did the trick for me!
Oh Yeah, I will be adding my pics on here this evening so that everyone will see what a great time people had that showed up.
Jeannie and I are hoping to get the next gathering going around the O'Fallon MO area at Ethyl's so hopefully we can get some more newbies to join us from that area as well as some oldies to watch a Cardinal game and party together. | |

Hope nobody got busted on the way home! I saw Manchester PD was workin Manchester Rd hard on the way home....they had 3 cars stopped when I passed through on my way home..... | |

I missed the party this past weekend. Now that I sit here reading this thread and seeing a few pictures.... I need to get out and have some fun too. I hope we have a decent turn out this Sat. but I am sure it will be a fun time even if there are just a few of us there.

A GREAT party for sure.....and YES we should have planned to actually get together on Cinco de Mayo and party and shake our booties!

I stayed in myself..........I have something planned every night from tonight on!
So I thought I better stay in Monday and just chill....glad I did!
For those interested SKY lounge has REAL on Wednesday night...will be there with friends!
Friends from another great group I belong too............come join me!
