| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:33:52 AM | What's your favourite Horror movie? I would have to say the most terrifying one would be the First Evil Dead. The ring is also good but I just saw one call 1408 new release and it is now up there with the best I have ever seen. Just a light hearted movie question (and also a sly way to see how many women actually like horror movies)!! | |

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:39:35 AM | I often find them a bit naff, but before I became old and jaded I remember a few that I liked getting scared by (and I am talking back in the days of beta videos)
When a Stranger Calls. (have you checked the children....) The Entity. And ...what's the one with the chick floating above the bed, rotating her head and projectile vomiting? Oh no wait, I am thinking of Hilly after a night out.

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:43:50 AM | the entity- still chills me to the bone, based on a true story (apparently) watched jeepers creepers 2 the other night.... not bad at all.
I love a good scary flick will be following this thread :)

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:43:57 AM | I watched 1408 on Saturday - enjoyed it but probably wasnt the best idea since I was home alone and watched it at night.
My all time fav horrors are When a Stranger Calls (the original) and Wolf Creek.
Love them! | |

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:46:45 AM | The more you tell me about Hilly the more I think she needs a drinking partner like me, nothing sus!! I think I would get along with anyone who seems to like alcohol that much
Back on topic I think the new version of Dawn of the Dead is really good too!!

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:49:46 AM | Friday the 13th , went and saw it at a midnight to dawn and the guy in the next car said to his mate, as the canoe was floating on the lake, "Wait for it" When Jason jumped out of the water I screamed so loud I scared the sh*t outta the 2 guys in the car next to me made them yell too. Still makes me to this day I can still see the expressions on their faces.
I remember been told guys took their girlfriends to the horror movies on a first date so they would get scared and want to hold the guys hand..... Oh the memories of the simple dating life.

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:52:09 AM | | Other good ones were the SAW movies I was in a club with a pile of "tough bikers" who were watching it going oooooow and hiding their eyes..... Now that was funny. | |
|
| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:54:03 AM | I would say chitty chitty bang bang.... or it by steven king..or evil dead.. there are so many scarey stories... fiction or fact i dont know.. | |
|
| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:57:18 AM | Oh nice one wilted - I would have love to have seen their faces when they screamed
And I have to agree about the Saw movies - have seen all 4
|
| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 4:59:18 AM | Best? Or the Worst? I saw Night of the Living Dead, at a midnight session, when that kind of film was still a novelty. Walking home afterwards was terrifying hahahaa Once I left the bright lights of the city behind... walking jerkily and uncoordinated while trying to appear nonchalant, jumping at shadows, I went out into the middle of the road to get away from the bushes and trees. | |
|
| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 5:04:21 AM | | Yes night of the living dead was more what I would call a comedy horror like the Nightmare on Elm st movies. The very first evil dead was one of the best but the other 2 were crap. The same with the Saw movies the first one was the only good one. | |
|
| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 5:09:48 AM | Actually... it may have been Evil Dead I saw come to think of it... A bunch of collegiate types? A cabin in the woods?
Whatever it was, serious, I wasn't laughing. Well, not until later anyway.

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 5:15:11 AM | I thought the evil dead films were hilarious, nobody can over-act as well as Bruce Cambell can.
The one with the bunny boiler scared me the first time I watched it can't remember the name of it.
'Wolf Creek'
Not really a horror film but I found 'Ghosts of the Civil Dead' very disturbing.
Anyone remember 'The Cars that Ate Paris'?

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 5:24:08 AM | | Without a doubt ,Salem's Lot. and I'm talkin the TV version...as it was made for TV. Let me tell you, Danny Glick didn't just kill the grave digger...he paid a visit on his little brother...in mid air outside the fascia of a classic Boston American home, on the second/first storey he says, " Open the window", in his best non vampire accent. So of course Danny opened the window for his vampiric brother and I didn' t sleep for six months. Stephen King has just too much to answer for to let me buy a 58 Plymouth Fury and pretend I haven't seen that movie (Christine)... "Classic" is a very expensive word these days. | |
|
| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 5:29:59 AM | Definately Wolf Creek.
And I am waiting on a new one now, called Shutter. Can't wait to see that...

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 5:57:17 AM | | The Brood - an early David Cronenberg film described as the horror genre version of Kramer vs. Kramer. Some of my friends are freaked out by the deception of the killer Brood. You can also add other Cronenberg films such as Shivers, Videodrome (not really horror but has horrific elements) and The Fly | |

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 6:17:31 AM | Not into slasher movies generally. but did like Nightmare on Elm St, the original.
The Entity and The First Power i thought where really scary.

Probably you could watch some of the scenes on the tube .....

| Best Horror movie ever!! Posted: 5/6/2008 6:47:38 AM | when *The Exorcist* came to a drive in theatre near the town I lived in . A group of young people borrowed a mini bus to go to Esperance from Ravensthorpe to see it, a distance of 120 miles (I still think in Miles).....this was in the 1970s...no street lights along the way, this is bush. I`m not sure if they actually enjoyed the movie, butt, they booked into a motel in Esperance over night rather than make the long dark journey home that night.
I also know that they did the same thing, the night they saw the first *freddy Kruger* movie.... but also remember they were country people, who had never braved a night In Fremantle when the pubs & streets are full of drunken young people all out to have themselves written off. ....... you want to be a beat cop...??
