| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 6:46:09 PM | Think about it - all a woman has to do is walk into a club, and while not directly go up to a guy and say "I wanna fu(k you", she just has to grind up to any number of guys on the dancefloor, give him the right look for him to move in for a make out session, and it's off to the bedroom.
Even an average woman (a 7.0/10) probably has about 15 partners versus an average guy who might only have had 5.
However, I think there's more equality and parity for guys and gals who are both a 9 or 10. At that level, the guys have enough confidence to sleep around with 70+ partners of the same looks scale.

| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 6:51:13 PM | That'd be true if women actually wanted to sleep with strangers in a bar, truth is most have hookups with booty calls or FWB's they already know and trust, or (GASP!) go home alone and don't have sex while single. Unlike most (not all) men who would be ok with going home with a woman they met that night and sleeping with them, most (not all) women aren't wired that way.
Men can be interested sexually first and get to know a woman later. Women like to get to know a man before she sees him as a potential sexual interest...
So although women could easily have more sex with a larger number of people, they usually don't tend to want to. Ironically, men would love to, but have less option. Basically it seems to cause a terminal imbalance where men desire sex with strange women who don't want the same.
In bars, clubs, some women are even married/involved and just out with friends for the night.

| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 7:06:44 PM | Do women have more sexual partners than men? I have no idea lol...........i'm pretty sure some do, but i'm also pretty sure that some don't. Probably pretty safe to say that even if i've only had 2 partners, i'd beat out some of the guys. But not all of them. If i've had 20, 30, 40 50+ partners, I still think I'd beat out some of the guys, but again, not all of them. (and by NO means am i admitting to my 'number' LMAO)
I think there's more equality and parity for guys and gals who are both a 9 or 10. At that level, the guys have enough confidence to sleep around with 70+ partners of the same looks scale.
In my experience, good looks do not equal high self esteem or self confidence. Confidence comes from within, and involves a lot more than appearance. And my desire to sleep with someone has very little to do with if they are a '7' or a '10'. I think that comes with age and/or experience though.
In bars, clubs, some women are even married/involved and just out with friends for the night ~~~~~ imagine that, lol, not every woman in a bar is looking for a one nighter!!

| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 7:57:23 PM | | I'm going to disagree on this one. Now I won't argue that a woman doesn't have more opportunity than a man, and that on most nights, with most women, if she goes out and decides she is getting laid, she'll find a willing partner. But men have that biological instinct to spread themselves around, and do so more often, and without the stigma of being labeled a slut. So for whatever reason, at least in my experience, men tend to have more sexual partners than women. | |

| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 8:42:52 PM | | I honestly couldn't tell you. I think it's a lot easier for a woman to have more partners, but that doesn't mean she takes all opportunities presented to her. And frankly it has nothing to do with where you place on the looks "scale". Even a butt-ugly woman can get 5 guys a night if that's her taste. Men make the obtainment of sex incredibly easy. Some girls are wired to enjoy that quality. Others aren't. | |

| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 8:51:48 PM | OP, that theory would be true if men and women think alike sexually. I know there are some women who probably are like that, but it is a fact that men think of sex every 10 seconds or something like that. Women need more than a body to become aroused.
If women thought about sex the way most men do, then yes, she could have more sexual partners. I agree looks really has nothing to do with it.

| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 9:04:41 PM | | Women can have sex any time, but they refrain for fear of being label a slut. a man can have have sex anytime too, that's only if he is a bisexual. Any man, gay or not, can go into a gay bar and get homosexual sex easily. The problem is with heterosexual men, is not as fast or as easy as women or homosexual men. | |

This may be true where you hang out, but back in my party days I made a sort of hobby of watching various regular women at the singles joint where I hung out, and the majority of them averaged one to three guys a week. One night in between dances, my best bud Mike said "Watch number two (this really hot redhead we had been checking out), she is looking at the hands of every guy she dances with. " Sure enough, every time the chick danced with a guy, she glanced at each of his hands somewhere along the way, usually making it kind of surreptitious. I thought, this is interesting. So I asked her to dance a slow dance. As the music started we were just standing there holding hands and she lifted one hand as if beginning a dance move, and true to form, she glanced carefully at my hand. A minute later she looked searchingly at my other hand. I have no idea what she was looking for and I did not ask her. What was up with that? Looking for wedding rings? nail fungus?

I'm tired of people saying that " calling women by sluts is a double-standard". It is NOT a double-standard. It is strictly a reality due to anatomy. women control HETEROSEXUAL SEX. Not men ! a man can go as far as a woman let him to go. It's the woman's choice, not the man's. Why do you think that over 90% of all prostitutes in the world are women? do you think is just a coinsidence??
In heterosexual sex, women are in the receiving end, she has a hole where she can receive a penis. She can easily open her legs to admit an infinite supply of penises in there. Homosexual men, the same, all he has to do is open his legs too or bend over, he won't have problem finding an infinite supply of " homosexual penises". Therefore, he can be label a slut, because he is using his anatomy as a receiving end.
Men, stop adopting this politacally correct bs from the feminazis, getting yourself brainwashed. Ask Wasimodo, the hunchback from Notre Damn, if is easy for him to be a slut, even if wants to.

And it's up to us new age men to "rebrand" the word slut. Let's change it from something derogatory to something that reveres and adores the lady in question. After all, sex makes us men happy - so why the hell would we want to go around demonizing those women that just gave it up to us? Such women should be appreciated for bringing elation into our lives, if even just for those few hours.
Sluts are not meant to be demonized - they should be celebrated, adored, and respected for the good that they bring to society. I have the deepest respect for any woman that has slept with 20+ partners and gives it up easily. At least they're not like those teases that I see in the bars all night long that simply frustrate us guys and batter our self esteem.

| Women have a lot more sexual partners on average - agree? Posted: 5/6/2008 10:08:52 PM | | I know some people are well, frankly... easy/slutty etc. men AND women...i've been with 2 guys. First guy we'd been together almost a year, split a month later cause he cheated. 2nd guy, we were together again almost a year, but he asked me to marry him, and then we split last july after 5 years together. I'm 22. I have a personal goal to not sleep with many men in my lifetime, so I am pretty sure in order to have sex I have to feel we're in some long-term relationship. | |

Here's the flaw in your theory...even if you WERE correct that women will fvck anything, anyone, anytime as if they were frat boys fresh out of a catholic highschool...Since there are more females than males(war, missing leg on your chromosomes, etc) men will HAVE to have more sex than the females. If every woman is laid every Saturday, at least one guy is working extra. Even whiney nice guys would get laid!!!!
And let's not forget more women are bi than men. So even canceling out the homosexual males there are STILL more women that men.
This is WHY women have more potential sexual partners. If women put out as much as men wanted, we'd have polygamy with two HUSBANDS.
You can not be right. Even if you were right, math would make you wrong.

Here's the flaw in your theory...
You can not be right. Even if you were right, math would make you wrong.
Ok, Here's the flaw in YOUR theory.... There aren't an exactly equal number of men and women... Nor are there equal conditions imposed on each gender before sex can occur... Nor is there a limitation as to how often anyone gets sex... Therefore, an imbalance can and will happen.... Some women will get more sex than other women. A woman is more capable of having more partners than a man is...A woman can be gangbanged by 12 men. Not to many men can have sex with 12 women, no matter how willing all parties involved may be.... Some men will get more sex than others... Simple physical differences will affect frequency of sex for either males or females... Using averaging to explain it away only works when all other factors are equal....in this case they are not... As for who i more likely to have sex, male or female....? I don't know... but I do know that sex shops sell more vibrators for women than they do for men... This would seem to me to imply that there is a greater demand for sexual pleasure by women than by men... I also know that the last few women I've slept with, had more partners than I did... And my numbers are well above any of my male friends....

| DISAGREE. Time for math Posted: 5/7/2008 2:23:34 AM | I'm sure those women who want to have sex with a lot of different men undoubtedly can a lot easier than a man. The whole difference is in the wanting. Overall, the average woman probably has only a few more partners than the average man. | |
|
| DISAGREE. Time for math Posted: 5/7/2008 2:54:50 AM | Which average?
Take the arithmetic mean, and it's going to be near exactly the same number for both men and women, since there are approximately the same number of each, and when a woman is having sex with a guy, a guy is having sex with a woman too.
Take the median instead, and distribution suddenly becomes important. For example, suppose:
Ten guys with X number of partners: 0 0 1 2 5 5 10 19 25 33 Ten women with X number of partners: 0 3 7 7 8 8 9 14 21 23
Both sets add up to 100 so have a mean average of 100/10 = 10 partners each.
The median of the mens set is 5 The median of the womens set is 8
What does this mean? It means if you pick one woman and one man from the above sample, chances are the woman will have had more partners.
- so this tells us why most guys find their partner has slept with more people than they have, and why a lot of guys will assume that women all sleep with more people than men do.
But there's more... suppose you're a woman and you've slept with one of the guys from the fictional list above. There's a 33% chance it was the guy with 33 partners, a 25% chance it was the guy with 25 partners.... etc. If you sum this up you get: 0.33*33+0.25*25+0.19*19+0.10*10+0.05*5+0.05*5+0.02*2+0.01*1+0*0+0*0 =10.89+6.25+3.61+1+0.25+0.25+0.04+0.01 =22.3 on average. Extremely biased towards the higher numbers, you'll note.
So if every woman who'd slept with one of the above men asked for their current total, the average reported figure would be 22.3
The 'mean' is 10 The 'median' is 5 The average number women would get by asking the guys from their own experience would be 22.3
- So it's no wonder women think all men sleep with anyone they possibly can! (This will apply to guys too, to a lesser extent)
Lessons to take from this:
MEN: If you find you're always dating girls who've had more partners than you, it's not because women have sex more than men. It's because guys in the top 10% 'most prolific' have slept with many and throw the numbers off.
WOMEN: If you rely on the numbers your previous partners give you as a way to gauge how many women the average man has been with, you are going to get a figure that is WAY higher than reality, because your sample is biased.
