Posted: 5/6/2008 7:25:18 PM | You really only have ONE pic of you -- the second is just a cropped close up of the first -- so you should change that and add more shots of you, in various backgrounds and outfits. No more doggy pics unless you're in them, too.
Your profile is fine. It's okay. What it's really lacking is anything personal about you we could connect with. Here's what you say, boiled down, in your paragraphs:
1) "I am an easy going, hard working, intelligent, fun-loving woman looking for companionship and friendship." Here's some adjectives about you. You don't want to rush into anything.
2) "I would enjoying having someone to go the movies with – whether it be a romantic comedy or an action/adventure film, go to a sporting event with, dine out or cook with..." In other words, here's stuff you like to do.
3) "I appreciate someone who can be romantic and honest and is not afraid to show his feelings. I like to dress casual like most people...like to travel..." More stuff about what you like to do, how you like to dress, one brief sentence about the guy you'd like to meet.
4) "I love to listen to music..." You like music and sing along to the radio.
See what I mean? I'm sure it's all true, but it's also true of a lot of other people. I'd rather see something UNIQUE and insightful about who you are AS A PERSON, rather than things you like, or like to do.
That would truly make your profile stand out from the crowd.
Whatever you ulitmately choose to do, definitely add more pics. | |

You fail to describe both your personality,and you preferences for the personality of a mate. How is a man supposed to "find"you if you say nothing to help him see who you are? It is also very important to let the men know what caracteristics you find most endearing. These should NOT include. Honest,funny,sense of humor,sensitive,loyal,trustworthy,kind, etc. These are things EVERYONE wants,and do NOT tell the man anything. Some examples of acceptable things: adventurous, oldfashioned, passionate,laid back/reserved, outdoorsy, etc.

Lunch/dinner for a date? It is very unlikely this will tweek a mans interest. Be creative, there must be SOMETHING unique that you could think of. | |

Posted: 5/10/2008 1:39:29 PM | Hi there darlin, sorry it took me so lomg to get here. You do a VERY good job of telling him who you are. And the "filler" part reads well, and is interesting. However, you sort-of blow it on your discription of who he should be.
"I am looking for someone who communicates well, knows how to be romantic, is honest and is not afraid to show his feelings. It doesn’t matter if we stay in or go out - it's just about having fun and enjoying our time together.
Ok,let's look at your wish list?
1. communicates well- There are several problems with this wish. First,there are many different types of communication, and most have a few that they dislike. I for example tend to be very direct, (some do not care for my style). I certainly KNOW how to COMMUNICATE ,but do you think YOU could put up with me? Am I making sense here? This is hard to explain in writing. If you want to use communicator,I suggest you also describe the TYPE of communication that you respond to best.
2. romantic- Hmmmmmm, here again, what one lady considers romantic, another may consider a turn off. If you want to use this word,you need to tell him what you consider romantic.
3. honest- this is certainly what I call an "assumed given" and is not a discriptive word of personality,but rather character. It doesn't count. lol He has learned nothing about you likes with this word.
4. show his fellings- this one is better, but there are several ways to do this as well,the spoken word,and touch would be two examples.
Now I realize you probably think I am being picky. LMAO
The better you explain EXACTLY those things you seek,the better the chances that the man you meet will make you happy forever. If you are not clear, the man misinterpretes what you mean by communication for example. I would communicate with you in a very direct fashion,thinking that was what you wanted. You may view it as me being judgmental,and therefore think I didn't love you. Hence,we would break up,and have waisted a lot of time simply because we didn't know what each other desired. Ok,enough of my soap box,be as discriptive and clear as you can with your desires.

1. You should add more pictures of yourself and you should make the second picture, the one with yourself in a pink shirt your display picture, shows more character.
