Hope you are doing ok after T/A. And in a couple of weeks I'm sure as you are that things will good enough to come on out to the Brunch!
I also hope you are able to limp on out the the May Long Campout as well. It will surely be a blast. And so far, the weather is lookin good for the whole Long Weekend. Just a few lingering clouds with sun on Sunday/Monday. And I know that we can hadle that.
*Just Imagine! A Whole Long Weekend with No, I repeat, NO WET WEATHER to speak of. Now, that hasn't happend for forever!

Posted: 5/21/2008 11:56:17 PM | Ok, are at 20 peeps again. However, I have it on good authority that we will be back to 19 because of unforseen cercumstances. But that being said, Haveing brunch with 19 peeps, some that are regs and others that are new to the brunch thing, I'm very much looking forward to chatting and meeting up with you all.
P.S. I have a badly sprained wristing from camping this past weekend, so it would be greatly appreciated if those of you who are newbies see me, (I'm the one in the wheelchair) talking, or not. Please come up and introduce yourself to me and I'll intro back and intro you to as many other fish as possible.

Posted: 5/23/2008 9:45:33 AM | sorry spuds and all my nutbar friends, won't be coming out after all as I ONLY have 2 days off . Working full time sux shyte and having a hard adjusting to not being able to cherry pick my hours of work so i can play on the pond. 
Gotta see some key pple and pets so time constraints as well as going green really bites me in the butt hard.  Just amplifies it all the more!
For those that have been going green for a long time now, I commend u all and especially u Spudster!!!! awesome to come out brunch via transit come sleet or snow, hail or rain or however the phrase goes! | |

y Surrey? cuz this location is close to the skytrain/ Surrey Place mall and ample of parking which isn' t the case in other venues in downtown or surrounding areas.
Can't please the masses and is there a location in Chilliwack or area that can accomodate at least 20 pple with good service as well as food?
I can't think of any right now.......
only one i can think of is @ a kamp site! I hear Chilliwack Lake is good to be @ | |

Posted: 5/24/2008 11:53:15 AM | And to be honest, I'm the one that has been hosting this brunch for a year and a half now. Not to mention that I'm in a wheelchair, depend on transit to get me everywhere, I live in North Burnaby, and spend a total of between 1.5 to 3hours in total getting there and back home again.
So, that being said I like what Sama mentioned in the above post. If YOU, or someone YOU know in YOUR area wants to post something a little closer to YOUR HOME, please don't let me stop you. The power of having a brunch in your area is in YOU HANDS.

There are also a small handle of peeps that come out to this brunch from your general area, so maybe a carpool could be in order. There are so many choices that one has to choice from, but its up to you to make what you want, to happen. | |
