The Gay, Lesbian and Trans-gendered/sexual community has many events right in the heart of the Village starting a week before the parade. Church Street shuts down the Friday before the parades (Dyke March tends to be on a saturday, and the Gay Pride one is on Sunday). All the patios, pubs, bars and restaurants are already jam-packed.

I live in the neighbourhood (very safe neighbourhood btw) and the place is hopping for most of Pride Week.

It could be because hosting events that are geared towards only some demographics are against the rules of posting events on pof.

POF Events are open to all members - there is no segmentation based on sexual orientation, gender, race, colour, creed, ethnicity or anything else you can think of - that is why.

The only exception is that an age appropriate range may be "suggested" but does not preclude any age from attending.

I would think you could host an event related to gay pride, as long as everyone is welcome to attend?

There are no people segmented theme events - it's been discussed in the past.

An event is for people to get together without the construct of a segementation theme.

When you allow one variation is when problems arise - all for one, and one for all = no problems.
