| What Do You Think--Should This House Be Cleansed? Posted: 5/9/2008 1:20:51 PM | | A friend of a friend just bought a repo'd house a couple of houses down from my parents. The reason it was vacant is because the owner was molesting his stepdaughter and is now in jail, the wife couldn't stay there all alone (or chose not to). When my friend told me this other person was buying the house, I said she should cleanse it with some sage, there's got to be bad energy in there. The couple also knows what happened there, it's all over the papers. Someone else had suggested cleansing to the couple, but the husband said no. Personally I feel it could use something. I know I would feel funny about living in a home where I knew unspeakable things happened.....just looking for some opinions. | |

Posted: 5/9/2008 1:51:03 PM | A friend of mine recently purchased a house and from the moment we entered the premises when viewing it, you could feel the positive energy. She later found out about the previous occupants. A very large, close knit family who continued to gather there for close to 50 years.
Energy, be it good or bad, is energy. It only makes sense that remnants of it remains behind.
I agree, I would feel the need to rid the negative energy. A cleansing or perhaps a house blessing by a member of the clergy ???

I used to buy sage incense, and some for my bf's house too (I told him I was bound and determined to rid his home of the negative female energy that lingered there--his ex wife was a nightmare).

| What Do You Think--Should This House Be Cleansed? Posted: 5/9/2008 6:48:44 PM | Any new place I move into gets cleansed. With salt. Incense. Then actually cleaned. Hopefully I have time to do it before starting to move things in...it is so much easier that way. I can usually manage to do so, but, if not, well...it still gets done. Salt is a wonderful "eraser" for negativity. It can also act as a barrier for bad vibes. anyways...some people don't bother with such "superstitious nonesense", some just feel better having it done. Some invite the local shaman over to bless the place. I dunno how many Catholics have the priest over to bless their new place. I guess it is a personal choice....but some places nobody will take on. The Bernardo house was bulldozed and the lot left vacant for several years before anyone would buy it to build on. Nobody wanted to try taking that place on. I know I wouldn't mind buying a place like that....simply because I know I could get rid of the negativity. Maybe the neighbours would keep gossiping about it for years to come...but..they also find other things to gossip about. Like the horrible colour you painted the place (slime green with orange trim, or some such thing...lol!) | |

| What Do You Think--Should This House Be Cleansed? Posted: 5/9/2008 7:16:38 PM | | I once lived in a townhouse that had such negative energy.... the previous rental occupants had been heavily into something very negative. One bedroom had black vinyl wallpaper, red shelves with a few hundred mini-statuettes on them, and red shag carpet. The vibe when walking in was so thick you could almost cut it with a knife.... you bet it got cleansed. And the house I lived in when divorcing.....well, every single couple living in that house got divorced while living there ... including the ones who bought it from us. It makes a difference.... I didn't know it then, but I do now... and if I lived in a house like that, you bet I would be getting it cleansed. | |

| What Do You Think--Should This House Be Cleansed? Posted: 5/9/2008 8:10:41 PM | The day I moved into a house I had purchased here in Brantford, I had a visit from a CAS worker. The worker warned me that the chap I had bought the house from was a pedophile, and to watch close in case he was still hanging around afterwards. .
A filing cabinet, left by him after moving out, had some papers left in it. Reading them, I found they were a copy of his "confession", something he had to give to get a "sweetheart" deal from our ridiculous "justice " system. The confession was stunning, to put it mildly, was an eye opener for me on very evil happenings that had occured in that house while this creep had molested his 3 year old son. It turned out to be a good house though, have a lot of happy family memories from living there.
The "evil energy, wasnt in the house, it was in that creep and the ones who supported him. When he left, so did that evil leave. Evil energy is not present in a house, car or any other inanimate object, it resides in the hearts of humans. That confession, described how he taught his son to play a game called " bum bum".
He was allowed to serve a ridiculously easy sentance, time served on week ends. He was even allowed to keep some custody of his son, albeit as long as his Dad ( his greatest defender) was with the kids.
Evil in a house? Nope, it was in that creeps heart, the limp wristed justice system, some silly woman who supported him and his enabling family.
Wasnt in the house at all.

Would you want to live in a house like that? And not try to do something to lift the heaviness? You could just move right in, huh? Ok.

| What Do You Think--Should This House Be Cleansed? Posted: 5/11/2008 7:09:34 AM | New England has some very old homes and therefore, most of the old ones are haunted. Usually it's not an unpleasant experience. These homes are more than houses they are personalities. I rebuilt a 1757 in Central MA over twenty years. I had about 4 spirits in the house. One was a young girls who died of the flu and was very active. She would physically move things. Before my ex-husband and I divorced in that house, when we would argue, sometimes the doors who open on their own, etc.
When I first saw the house I walked in the backyard and saw a Indian brave in spirit. Later I found out there was a buriel site nearby across the street from me. I always use to feel "power" there. Later, I bought the land. A few years ago I was preparing the lot of land to sell. I brought a dowser in and we choice the spot. Sure enough her dousing stick broke! We hit a aquifer!
I guess all those year I would feel the power of the water under my feet.
Anyway, BACK TO THE THREAD . . . . . negative engergy is parasitic. It has no life force of it's own and seeks to drain other of theirs. Always get rid of it. Use the Bible if you have to or want to. Go get Holy water and use the Psalms of the Bible. There are many, many methods. It's what works for you and your spiritual beliefs.
