Posted: 5/11/2008 12:30:11 PM | Is anyone ready to plan another get together? My birthday is in June... the 28th actually... on a Saturday.. what better way to celebrate than with friends? Let me know if you are interested and I will start the process!

What a great group of People! I thank all that made the party a success... even with bad weather we had a great turnout and even a few possible matches made.. I feel super blessed today to have met so many wonderful people!

Next Friday? in 2 weeks? Thursday or Friday when the group is more likely to be the only ones there? One of the security guards said things were relatively dead Friday night!
Just hope they get the air conditioning fixed soon.
Are you going to try anything like a dinner get-together at a restaurant or potluck picnic? | |

I am hoping someone else is gonna take the reins and plan another one real soon. I had a blast meeting everyone.

Posted: 5/25/2008 7:06:11 AM | We had it at Bogies.. It was a great turnout even with Tornadoes all around the state. There were even matches made that nite!! Congrats to them. New friendships made and wonderful group of people. These are not hard to plan folks.. I just do not know of many places that do not cost to reserve which is one rule. The venue can charge a cover charge but as a host you can not charge.. so if some place charges say $300.00 to reserve an area.. such as a reception hall or conference room.. the host would be responsible.. well sorry.. but I could not afford that and it would be against POF rules.
So if someone has a large enough yard or knows of some place else to go ... get to thinking and lets have another.
I personally would LOVE to see everyone again and the ones that could not attend due to weather or prior commitments. | |
