| Expressions of interest re beach camping weekend for SE Qld Posted: 5/11/2008 4:17:25 PM | Unfortunately, we dont have any more long weekends coming up as the next one is already taken up with the Tenterfield trip.
People are asking for a beach camp, I am thinking perhaps Bribie Is or Inskip Point as fires are still allowed on these beaches.
If we do Bribie, it is 4wd access only, however, guys from the Beaudesert camp have offered to help with transportation from the car park to the beach.
It will be an overnighter only, sometime in July.

As to the people who believe that this thread is a Troll thread , you are saddly mistaken. We are a close nit sub group here in SE QLD Australia , within POF and we love our events. This is the way we see who want to do what next , before we waste the Moderators time and post a Thread on the Events section that isnt embraced. PLEASE , you are welcome to join our merry group , otherwise understand what we are up to , let us have our fun and leave our threads alone. Thank you , thats all I have to say.

| Expressions of interest re beach camping weekend for SE Qld Posted: 5/12/2008 1:29:28 AM | If we do Inskip Point, is that too far for people to travel for an overnighter? Another option would be if some could clock off from work early on the Friday and we make it a 2 night camp.
What do ya's want to do?
btw: I will check the State Forests and National Parks website to check what the latest is, as, whilst I was living down South, lots has changed.

| Expressions of interest re beach camping weekend for SE Qld Posted: 5/12/2008 2:02:32 AM | | last time went to inskip was something like $9 per tent per night . from inner south brizzy takes about 2 1/2 hrs to inship leaving at 5 in the morning. i find this a good time to travel as im usualy awake and there is little traffic on the raods at this time. | |

| Expressions of interest re beach camping weekend for SE Qld Posted: 5/12/2008 5:13:06 AM | Inskip Pt sounds great even if a couple of hours + drive. However, depending how much a permit for Bribie costs, might be the same amount in petrol etc going to Bribie and more camping time at Bribie. Though there's the organising of 4x4's to get in. Then againk fishing probably better at Inskip!

| Expressions of interest re beach camping weekend for SE Qld Posted: 5/12/2008 6:28:56 PM | I am all for taking the Friday of work and going up early, but as Woody said if it's at Bribie I will need someone to ferry me in, in there 4x4. Will try to get a smaller tent by then, unless we have some volunteers to put mine up for me. Anyone.... hello...
Cheers

| Expressions of interest re beach camping weekend for SE Qld Posted: 5/13/2008 2:46:54 AM | If we go to Bribie, we have volunteers to help with taking us across to the camp.
Mafato... I have helped you "one time" tooo many to put up that huge tent of yours... lol... I have a good idea though! ... Perhaps others will volunteer and I will sit in my chair with a glass of wine and read out the instructions ! <img src=http://www.plentyoffish.com/smiles/icon_201.gif border=0>

| Expressions of interest re beach camping weekend for SE Qld Posted: 5/13/2008 4:59:27 AM | Cough cough... ignores previous post ^^^ .... unless wood chopper actually manages his time management skills a little better and doesn't get there AFTER everyone has set up camp for themselves ; he would be glad to help out .
The foot's not bad Gypsy. Can't run but can walk. I should probably see a physio or some proffessional about it buuuuuuuut I'm a male and we don't usually see someone about something until it drops off right?
And I'll keep my promise about the cooking too as long as I come along, whaddaya say???
