I have 3 new and different bike rides for the coming months , but for this one , we are going NORTH.
DATE 1st June 2008
TIME 9am (leave 9:30am)
MEET POINT Mt Glorious Road , just west of the round-a-bout (Beside CALTEX servo)
UBD ref Map 106 M14/15
Other meet points
YATALA BP SERVICE CENTER 7:45am or earlier for breaky (8am LEAVE)
DAYBORO SWIMMING POOL CARPARK 10-10:15am
DESTINATION Montville (Penny Farthing English Pub) great atmosphere , views and food.
ROUTE Samford , Dayboro , Mt Mee , DeAgular , Woodford , Stanley Roberts Rd , Maleney , (short route straight to Montville) longer route , Conondale , Kennilworth , Obi Obi Rd , Mapleton , Montville.
There will be two rides on this one , a short one , 110km Bee-line straight for the pub and a longer loop thru Kennilworth for those more Keen. 166km.
ROUTE HOME , will be via the short ride 110km but in reverse. Montville , Maleney , Woodford , Mt Mee , Dayboro , Samford.
I will be appointing corner markers for some of the intersections , so If you know these roads a little please volunteer , so I dont get a ticket or worse. I will also be printing Maps for this ride. Please make sure you are registered for the ride so I print enough.
On some of the selected intersections we will all be stopping for a regroup , to chat and mingle , like on the last ride. That worked well. I am not doing a poker run this ride , maybe on the next one. Dont want to strain any relationships with those who put up prizes at reduced rates. Please look after them for all your gear and bike needs. If anyone wants anything picked up and delivered I can do during the week as I only work weekends. Just cover my fuel. Ring TOM , MEL or BEC at Beaudesert Motorcycles on 07 55411322 or MICK & ROH at Goodna on 38181208 for tyres , parts and services.
This will be a fabulous ride , with a bit of everything for all bikes and riders. (No Dirt) HOWEVER I do need to mention that if there is anyone coming that is inexperienced or has a new bike , please buddy up and take care. I suppose though as was shown on the last ride even the most experienced can have an off. I hope the ribs are not to sore and your bike not to damaged. Glad your still with us. And to the Harley rider , good to see you pick her up and keep rollin. People PLEASE also , maintain your rides , Breakages can cause accidents and at the least , cost a lot of time , heartache and money when your in a remote area. We can help , but cant always fix the problem if there is and incident. Just be prepared. I learnt a few things from the last ride.
OK bring on the 1st of JUNE. (oh and its someones Birthday so remember to wish her a happy day) Maybe we could start a tradition.

I was thinking that a video on the side of the road going up into Mt Glorius with 40 odd bikes zooming past would have given those who haven't been yet an idea of the number of bikes these trips have rounded up. | |

I'm definately in, same as usual, have a vacant pillion seat, have helmet and warm gear etc, happy to take a newbie or an experienced pillion, I will ride accordingly....... 
Might be good practise for anyone thinking about the Tenterfield ride ........

Really enjoyed meeting you all last Sunday on the ride and looking forward to this next ride. As many of you now know, I had back surgery recently so bike riding is out for me for a while, even being a pillion for any great distance. Would love to join you all again though and happy to be the back support vehicle again. Any tips on what I could bring as the support vehicle to assist would be welcomed. The RX7 loved the trip too.
