| What does your profile name mean?
Posted: 5/12/2008 6:34:05 AM | I am looking over the forums and profiles and see a lot of different profile names and am curious about why you picked that name and what it means in some cases?
I love wolfs and someone described them as Ghost walking among the timbers... and I fell in love with the name... and the 40 was because I realized I am over 40 now and have to accept the fact.
Oh and I apologize in advance if this subject was already done. I did a search and didn't come up with any previous threads from the Ontario boards. | |

Posted: 5/12/2008 12:23:10 PM | fun question - my name is Kay and I strive to be a lady in all that I do - at least by my mother's definition - she said that a lady is always dignified, strong, soft spoken, not easily angered, compassionate, gracious, passionate about all that she does and respectable... she is a powerful force in the world because of how she carries herself.
In todays society a "lady" implies a strong dominant female who has no issues giving and taking what she needs privately.
Being raised in the deep American South comes with beliefs and standards of life that have played an important role in who I am today. I may be a bit different, too playful at times, but I am always a lady. | |

Posted: 5/12/2008 1:50:06 PM | interesting question . . .and maybe answering this thread will get me to know myself better. or kill a few minutes . .either or.
I think I made it due to the fact that in order to simply live my day to day life I need to be the best. period. not second place (the first loser) or one of a group, I need to be first. and this desire to be first, beat everyone else at things that allow you to keep score in some way shape or form, is a part of me that burns down to the bone (so to speak . . . .). it's something that will never change
last part is that it's taken a LOT of ambition to get where I am now even if it's not as far as I'd like it to be . . . (working in blue collar automotive related jobs until last year has meant dealing with layoffs and being set back due to the layoffs. . . etc) and to get to where I want to go I'm going to need to do whatever it takes . . .anything from being such a saint that I make mother theresa look like a five cent hooker. . or being so evil that hitler's extermination of the jews would pale in comparison to what I'd be noted for.
that's why I ended up with the name that I did | |
