| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:01:41 PM | Today I received a text message from this guy I was talking with earlier in the month and he wanted to know if I would be online tonight. I told him yes and when I log on and make myself available through IM he immediately logs off.
I know it is kind of a bazzar question and not that big of deal. Personally I could take him or leave him. But, he is not the only one who has done this. So, I am wondering if this is the latest way to make people kinda feel like crap. And I am wondering whether others have experienced it. It kinda feels like game playing to me.

| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:09:22 PM | | maybe he had to go? | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:10:46 PM | | ^^^yep...LOL. that is probably it. It is as simple as that. thanks for responding. I didn't think anyone would. | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:11:16 PM | | IM here or through something like MSN or Yahoo? | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:12:41 PM | | yahoo...he had text me several times during the day to ask if I would be on. Then i log on and within minutes...he logs off. | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:15:31 PM | | Maybe he's married/has a girlfriend and he abruptly logs off because he doesn't want to get busted? | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:16:52 PM | | hmmmm.....very interesting. That could be. | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:24:08 PM | | I suppose it could also be there he's chatting with a few gals and at the time he sees you, he's already chatting with someone else so sees you "there" and just logs off. Whatever the reason, it's very odd and rude and you deserve better than that. If I were you, I'd just remove him from your Friends List and should he contact you by other means (email) to ask where you've been, let him have it ;-) | |

| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 7:26:30 PM | | some guys get nervous, kinda like trying to call someone for the first time your interested in. | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 8:39:54 PM | Yeah - I'm guessing you aren't the only one he's asked to IM with. Because he's bored and has no life outside his computer. But he double-booked himself, was chatting to another girl or two - and so made himself invisible because he couldn't carry on both conversations at once.
Or maybe he had been sitting there for hours waiting for you to log-on, and you took too long and hurt his ego.
Or maybe he was working on something totally non-IM related and didn't want to start a convo because he needed to finish what he was doing.
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 9:57:38 PM | Don't jump to conclusions...if it only happened once, maybe he didnt see you just as he was logging off...give him one more chance...and just ask him...what's the harm? | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/12/2008 10:07:53 PM | During the initial stages:
Bottom line is if someone's actually interested in you, they'll make the time to be with you... and if they can't make the time, they'll let you know and reschedule.
And if they don't make the time (within reason), then drop 'em like a hot potato and don't look back.
| IM Games Posted: 5/13/2008 12:40:14 AM | Perhaps he was IMing with someone else at the time. I keep myself invisible to everyone but the one person I want to IM. I can't stand IMing more than one person at a time. Maybe he feels the same way.
BTW, and this isn't a slam, the spelling is bizarre, not bazzar.

| IM Games Posted: 5/13/2008 1:04:49 AM | | Try again some other time, if he does it again he's playing games with you (wont be limited to im's either) | |
| IM Games Posted: 5/13/2008 6:38:38 PM | Thanks everyone
I just went ahead and deleted him from my list. I do think he is playing games. Just as simon23 says....I don't believe it would be limited to im's either.
