Ode to a great man.

It saddened me last friday to hear of the passing of Jack Gibson. Affectionally known as the 'Super Coach' in the world of rugby league. I'll always remember Jack as a very caring, very wise, very understanding, very charitable man. A man with a wonderful sense of humor, his one liners and quick dry quotes will be talked about for years to come i'm sure. The one statement that sticks in my mind that he made, was when he first went to coach the Cronulla Southerland Sharks. He was describing the speed of the great Cronulla & Australian winger, Andrew Ettinghausen, Jacks words: "This kids that quick, that he can turn the bedroom light out, and get into bed before it gets dark." Priceless, R.I.P. Jack.

Grey Great One...

Can't beleive no-one replied to this....but as a born and bred Aussie Rules follower, I am happy to say...R.I.P. Jack. May footy leaders of your calibre always make the back page.

lmao...that line is legend in itself. I haven't really watched much footy in recent years and footy was much different back when he was doing his thing. The players still had day jobs and didn't have the burden of getting their huge egos through a standard doorway. League legends of Jack's era will alwys be held in higher esteem IMO.
Respects To Jack Gibson.
