| Breath Freshness Test Posted: 5/13/2008 12:35:28 PM | I saw this on the news a while back, and found a bit of info on the net...... People may not realize when they have bad breath, and its true cause may be in spite of them performing adequate dental hygiene. Quick check: lick a spot on your arm, wait a minute, then sniff that licked spot. Gross? Fine? Medium? They offer another method where you scrape the back of your tongue with a spoon and then go back and smell the whitish film on the spoon to see what odour is present. Sound gross? I figure it's better to know if something is a little off in your body, and breath is a great indicator. Chinese medicine utilizes tongue appearance and coating as a diagnostic tool. Here is a website for reference and some solutions if your test comes out smelling less than rosy..... http://www.probiotics-lovethatbug.com/bad-breath-test.html
I've worked with people with bad breath, and it's rough. I generally just try to tell them straight up, maybe offer them some gum as a little hint......hint.......hint...

Also have heard that you can cup your (clean) hands over your mouth blow into them, and then smell that.

| Breath Freshness Test Posted: 5/13/2008 7:02:25 PM | I ask someone "Hey, do I have bad breath?"
People will notice. Although they will not usually comment, few people will deny you do if they have noticed you do. I am willing to comment on other people without being asked.

If you offer me a mint or gum...I assume my breath stinks. LOL

| Breath Freshness Test Posted: 5/15/2008 3:25:22 PM | If you tell someone "Wow, did you eat a turd for breakfast?" they should get the message... and then likely slap you around.
I was recently in ketosis for a fatloss diet and was paranoid I had bad breath... but nobody turned away or gagged when I talked to them.
Kinda tricky when you work in sales being in that position. I bought a little freshener thingy to keep in My pocket for a minty spritz before meetings *grins*

| Breath Freshness Test Posted: 6/10/2008 10:21:24 PM | Super cheap, $1/qt, drugstore/grocery store hydrogen peroxide is a great anti-fungal, anti-bacterial mouth wash. Works much better than the expensive, alcoholic, perfumed, cover-up, stinging crap from the big corps.
H2O2 also removes enamel stains (teeth whiteners are oxidizers). It even tastes the same as whitening stuff.
After mechanical cleaning or at least vigorous rinsing, 2 or 3 bottle caps of H2O2, rinse for 3 -4 minutes, gargle it a bit to get those throat germs.
It's not poisonous (your body is producing it continuosly in millions of tiny actions) nor even harmful if a couple drops escaped down the hatch.
