For me it's been 3 years (this includes any female interactions such as hugging, etc). I know I'm doing it wrong, but I'm more of an outlier when it comes to these things.

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 1:04:31 AM | | Last time I was out of a relationship it was for 4 months. The time before that, it was for about 4-5 months again, I think. | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 1:07:37 AM | | Oh, just in case for those out there who are savvy in flagging threads for being about pity, I have chosen to stay out for the 3 years for educational/work reasons. | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 1:41:52 AM | 20 months and building it only lasted 25 years so i expect after 25 months i should think about changing things a bit. | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 1:42:24 AM | My last relationship ended just over two years ago. I needed a break after the break and decided to opt out of dating anyone. A year later, I left the country, which has lowered my odds for a relationship considerably. I didn't expect that. LOL. But everything happens for a reason.
I think it's always good to get back to zero before starting up with someone new. That way you can put down old baggage instead of carrying it forward.

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 1:44:31 AM | | A relationship???? UMMM LONG LONG time... I have had quite a bit of longterm girlfriends sense that time. Nothing ever came of them. I wouldn't call them relationships thou. | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 2:06:34 AM | 4 years - the right choice for me as it wasn't a healthy one and I needed time to heal myself , and to focus on being a good first time Mum.
Now I have something to offer another healthy, well adjusted adult as I left my emotional baggage at the kerbside quite some time ago.

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 2:36:26 AM | | It's been about a year and a half. I spent the first year or so reflecting and looking inward, and since I decided that I was ready to date again I haven't come across anyone interesting. That's ok though...I'm not overly worried about it. | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 2:45:54 AM | My last relationship was nearly 2 yrs ago been a bit weary since him as i dumped him after he raised his fist to my face, little cautious now say the least, but have had a few dates in this time but nothing to want me to have a relationship as yet, always room for friends you can never have to many. | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 6:14:49 AM | One year, nearly to the day, between asking for my divorce and meeting my SO. However my marriage was 'over' years before it ended... The actual divorce was quick (4 months start to finish - you get what you pay for!) and started dating a few months after that. It didn't take long to meet Mr. Right...(just not on here!;-) | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 6:24:19 AM | | Been 3 years for me,I thought he was special but he obviously not lol.Have found it hard to get over because I never got closure. He just walked out one morn said ring you later and never did.I was too stubborn to call and find out what problem was and I guess scared too.Had other problems in past with men that have made me very wary of getting involved again. I like being single most of time...just would like some male friends to hang out with sometime without fear of them wanting more...is that possible? | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 6:29:44 AM | | I have not been in a committed relationship for five yrs. We had talked about marriage, but her self-invented paganistic religion stuff and continual family drama scenes finally soured me on it and we split up. | |

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 6:33:33 AM | "I have been single for 14 years......just starting to date.........so its been a long time"
14 yrs? Wow! Someone must have really soured you on relationships. I basically just got tired of falling for women who could not keep their pants on whenever I was not around.

| Last time you were in a relationship Posted: 5/14/2008 7:36:35 AM | | It has almost a year since I broke up with my 'rebound guy' (he kept on trying to change up the 'rules' and move into my house. I have been divorced for two years...now I'm just taking time away from dating because I haven't met anyone interesting as yet, and just working on myself :) | |
