| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 11:44:46 AM | Condom or No Condom? that is the real question.
The reason why I am asking or putting this out there ...... is I have been talking to some dude and he wants to GET WITH ME and not use a condom. I have a child already as I am not on any birth control. Like I know guys are not into wearing condoms as much as we women dont like either. But why would someone talk to you if they only want to get SOME ACTION and not use any protection? If someone wants to talk to me about this I would be ever so greatful.
Take care and happy fishing!

Selfishness, quite possibly. The man obviously likes the feel of "bare sex" and prefers it without condoms. But he's not thinking about you, the fact he could transmit something to you, or possibly get you pregnant. There are a LOT of men out there who are like this. Whenever I've gotten into a relationship that deep where sex is inevitable I always make sure that if she wants things to proceed "bare" that I can and do trust she's clean. Trust is always a HUGE issue and one that takes time to build.
Good luck! | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 11:51:14 AM | Cut him off, theres really no excuse for him to make that type of request so early.
That being said, I hate condoms. I'm a guy whos length is nothing to brag about, but who's girth might be and I can't find any condom that feels even ok. Even so, I still tough it out and use one in the early stages of a relationship.
In my humble opinion you BOTH should be using protection.
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 12:00:16 PM | there are sooooo many reasons they should be wrapping it, and sooooo many excuses why they think they shouldn't... (and you already know that too) | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 12:03:01 PM | i can see your concern but i have to ask why are you not on the pill??? or some form of birth control if your dating???shouldn't be dating if your not willing to use your own birth control as well... obviously this guy isn't worried about his health to much and its good your smart about condoms | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 12:10:58 PM | | Condom always! i cant believe your even asking this question. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 12:20:31 PM | | As a single female, who's dating...I don't think that everyone needs to be on some form of birth control. Condoms are a form of birth control and if I choose to have sex with someone, that would be the birth control that I choose. Not every woman NEEDS to be on a pill or shot or anything else. I am free to date, and I am free to use condoms with another person. I don't see men altering their hormones just to please other people. Just my opinion. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 1:18:54 PM | Tell him you are fine without him using a condom especially since your herpes aren't active right now. Make sure he knows that without a condom he is putting himself at a double risk since you charge twice the going rate of child support.
On a more serious note hun...run as fast as you can...if he wants unprotected with you god knows what lovely diseases he is bringing to the table ...uhm bed.
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 1:25:33 PM | My .02... Even if Julie McCullough was begging me have sex with her WITHOUT a condom, I'd be telling her "no glove, no get'n freaky"...
Always Wear the Proper Attire for the Occasion...and sex is an occasion that has a strict "dress code"...

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 1:27:04 PM | | The fact that you are even contemplating the idea is ridiculous. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 1:34:29 PM | | well I am not dating right now. As for my profile states talk and email and that is what keeps cumming up. meaning that subject and I have no need to be on birth control as they dont work....... Also if I meet someone who I will sexually active with they should wear a condom as I have no idea of where they have been. Also I just thought that I would put that out there as a conversation piece. | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 1:44:44 PM | | You must wear a hardhat when entering the construction site! | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 1:49:06 PM | did you miss sex ed in school,?or perhaps you missed school all together?
wtv....forget the condom anywas. You cant get aids or any type of STD as long as you push(like pushing a fart) every 60 seconds. The disease won't be able to penetrate your system.

Well said!! I never been on the pill, never would be. It's a condom or NO SEX.
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 3:08:42 PM | | If he's not willing to wear a condom with you, then he probably hasn't with other partners either. I still run across men that don't want to wear a condom and I don't get it. I lose respect the minute they complain over that requirement. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 3:11:57 PM | | I agree with the two women ^^^^^^ above..... Im not altering My hormones and putting myself at risk with the complications that can come from the pill/ and or shots etc.... so I fixed that.... I got sterilized...... BUT I'm still gonna use a condom in the beginning stages of a relationship.......... make him wrap it ... or dont even bother meeting him.. who's to say he says he will wrap it get with you, doesnt have it wrapped, you say no, then he rapes you... NOT A GOOD IDEA! | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 3:17:58 PM | Definitely a condom!!!! No condom? Tell 'em to hit the road and get lost. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 5:11:20 PM |
Definitely a condom!!!! No condom? Tell 'em to hit the road and get lost Ahh nothing like a woman who is willing to compromise.... I'm really getting tired of this politically correct BS... Yes, they protect you... But not 100% or even close....
By the way... Do all you condom insisters(sp?) also use them for oral sex too???????? If not, by your own logic, you're as bad as the guys supposedly are.... As someone else on here posed the other week, if you know that the other person definately has HIV would you put your trust in a condom? Or is it just self-denial, the "it can't happen to me", ostrich-head-in-the-sand, school of thought... The, "I have made an effort to protect myself, so I can justify what I'm doing?"
Anyway. Supposing there are legitimate reasons for not wearing a condom? 1...Some men just simply cannot feel a thing with a condom on.... Might as well just not bother at all... Especially with (gasp) a woman who is less that shall we say 'gripping'. 2...Some men just simply lose their focus during the simple act of putting on a condom... 3...Some men simply don't believe they provide enough protection to be worth the effort. There are a lot of STD's that a condom simply doesn't afford protection from. 4...Then there is the size issue... Some of them are damned tight and painful if they're not the right size...
Then too...
That condom you're making him wear, he might have picked up 3 years ago... Or it came from a vending machine (Marked for Novelty use only) - Totally unable to protect from getting you preggers, let alone protect you from an STI... Or it's been in his wallet, glove compartment, desk drawer, over the Microwave or whereever, exposed enough to render it next to useless... Oh yea, and you can bet in most cases, when he looked at the rack to buy the condoms, he bought the CHEAPEST ones on the rack!
My own experiences with condoms have proven to be fairly futile, I've had them slip off, (she really gripped), Tear and split... and so forth.... Oh. And one case, ( I know it really doesn't count) I got a paper cut type of injury from a sharp edge on the wrapper... The discomfort from them led me to think in one case that the woman wasn't that good in bed... Hmmm Maybe that's why so many of you get dumped after first sex???? (Just kidding.... I think) As one of my friends once described it, "It's like wearing socks when you have a bath"
Want to feel good about condoms? I know a woman, who as a swinger, very, very carefully used condoms... She only got 3 STI's.... in 2 years....
Take a condom, blow it up like a balloon. Tie a REALLY TIGHT KNOT in the end. See how big it is? See how long before it changes size. Where did the air come out?
The concept of some protection being better than no protection is the "Brought a knife to a gunfight" school of thought... Nowadays, condoms are less about protection than about convincing some woman that, "Hey, it's ok to have sex with some guy you hardly know... How can anything go wrong wearing a condom?" Personally, I can wait until the tests come back...
Humour: Q: How can a woman tell if she' with a selfish man? A: He puts the condom on with the tickling ribs on the inside. Shall I go on....?
Look, I'm not against condom usage, but I am against people who think they are the be all and end all of safe sex... It just isn't that way... Give your damned heads a shake...

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 5:17:15 PM | For heavens sake, what a STUPID question - newsflash, STDs are at their highest levels EVER, there are some cities now in DEVELOPED countries (it's not just the 3rd world) where STDs effect 1 in 3! The answer is, and should ALWAYS be a condom, get some respect for yourself; I hear all the time people going on about how 'they don't like the feeling' well I tell you what, I'd rather not like the feeling of a bit of latex than that of the symptoms of the various STDs around! | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 5:19:40 PM | WELL I THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS, AND TRUST ME I AM JUST PUTTING THIS OUT THERE SO I HOPE THAT THE IDIOT WILL SEE ONCE AND FOR ALL I AM NOT PLAYING WITH MY LIFE.
I KNOW THAT GUYS DON'T LIKE TO WEAR CONDOMS BUT NOW ADAYS PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS OUT THERE. I AM NOT DATING ANYONE NOR SEEING ANYONE FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT SOME GUYS ARE QUITE PUSHY WHEN IT COMES TO HOOKING UP WITH YOU. ESPECIALLY WITH ASKING IF HE CAN CUM INSIDE ME OR OUT OF ME. SORRY FOR THE VISUAL BUT THAT IS WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IT. LIKE I TOLD HIM THAT HE HAS TO WEAR THE GLOVE OR NO LOVE. SIMPLE AS THAT.
ON THAT FINAL NOTE THAT IS WHY I STATED ON MY PROFILE THAT I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TALK AND EMAIL AND GET TO KNOW THEM FIRST BEFORE WE MEET UP FOR "ACTIVITIES".
WELL THANK YOU AND HAPPY FISHING
TAKE CARE | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 5:25:58 PM | like they say a million times, no glove no love, if he doesn't like it, tell him to buy a Real Doll at 5000 bucks, it's cheaper and easier on a man than raising a unwanted child , for the OP woman; get a man who cares about you and your wishes not to get knocked up etc | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 5:26:15 PM | Also, just to update, with regards to the above postee - If used CORRECTLY condoms are 99.6% effective at stopping STDs, indeed they DO let air out but NOT seamen or the viruses that cause STDs. As for the swinger that always uses condoms nad has picked up STDs, it is probably FAR MORE LIKELY she has probably given a blowjob etc without and STDs don't just spread through sex! Goodness me, it sometimes feel like we live in the dark ages - it's a simple thing to do, read up on the subject don't just take chinese whispers as facts. I've been producing educational videos about the use of condoms for 5 years for schools so consider myself having a good knowledge. | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 7:21:31 PM | Why would he ask?
B/c he can. What's going to happen, if he asks? either you'll say yes, or you'll say no. Or you may go away, but if he wasn't going to get what he wants, what did he lose by asking?
Its merely a gamble with no risk. As the saying goes, it won't hurt him, to ask. Someone will eventually say yes.
As for the concept of birth control...I like it best when BOTH are using it. Since we are talking about gambles and risks :)

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/14/2008 7:25:08 PM |
If used CORRECTLY condoms are 99.6% effective at stopping STDs
Some, yes, all, no. And besides, STD's don't only reside in the places condoms cover.
Great post m_church. | |
