| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 8:10:29 AM | I found this product in Holland and Barratt and wonder if it is good.
Has anyone used this product? Its for energy, for gym goers. It is supposed to raise your metabolism, curb your appetite and raise energy levels..
Has it worked for you? | |

Sounds good, there is a store a few hundred yards from me, I might bob down later in the car and pick one up, always try anything once.

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 8:21:19 AM | Sounds like smoking without any of the nasty side effects!
VVVVVV but at £499.99 It's virtually a bargain
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 8:23:58 AM | | I googled, it's just another diet pill that probably doesn't work. | |
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 8:34:16 AM | It works brilliantly............ as part of a calorie controlled diet and rigorous exercise regime.
ruffy | |

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 8:35:19 AM | Oh I think I'll have to find some info on that. Can't work out how it would increase your metabalism and curb your appetite at the same time. I know some people that have high metababolic rate and are always hungry!
It's amazing what you can do just by changing your diet, many foods can raise your energy levels at a constant rather than ups and downs.

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 8:42:34 AM | | Isn't it cheaper just to stop eating as much and exercise more? | |

Don't be silly, have you seen the price of trainers.

Stuff that then. | |

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 8:54:52 AM | | hey, iv used it, its ok not great, i got a better result from a product called lipo 6 that really works if you need any more advise feel free to ask all the best | |
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 10:51:28 AM | | It's a well known fact that these products are a more effective psychological boost than anything else. True benefits are minimal, you will be far more successful spending your money on a consultation with a nutritionist who will advise you of how to do the exact same through your normal every day diet. | |

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 11:04:47 AM | id save your money... i googled it and got a page selling the pills... said with diet and excersise you could lose 10lbs in "only" 8 weeks.. well with diet and excersise really you should be able to lose that much without pills... i watched a programme on sky the other week in a similar vein to "supersize me" but quite the opposite.. it was called "superskinny me" where one girl went from a british size 12 to a size 2 (which is equivalent to a 00 in usa) in only 6 weeks but she starved herself and really worked out for hours a day to do it.. so i guess its same as every other diet pill.. if it REALLY worked with little effort they would not be 20/30.00 a bottle..
hollywood stars would pay a fortune for them...
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 11:19:01 AM | | I f you do the Rosemary Conley kick start diet you can lose upto 7lb in 2 weeks!Thats eating sensibly without starving yourself.Faddy diets are a waste of time. Its about retraining your eating habits not taking pills which could do goodness knows what to you. | |
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 11:22:31 AM | As far as I am aware, these pills are packed with Caffeine so they make you hyper and fidgety if you try to sit still..May as well drink a couple of cans of Red Bull, they will give you the same effect..
Pills and dieting is a no go,sensible eating and excercise, no short cuts as they never work in the long term..
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/15/2008 12:41:03 PM | It works and is good, I used it to shed weight before trying to put on lean muscle by going to the gym. There is just one catch...
It gives you piles as a side effect haha, if you search the net this is quite a common side effect with yeast infections cropping up as well. You do loose the weight, but its just a suppliment so I would only use it with a calorie controlled diet.
If your serious about loosing weight, take three pills, go for a run in the morning before breakfast and the weight will just fly off of you.
The thing to remember (and the thing I didnt really consider) is that even though these are sold as almost vitamin suppliments, weight loss pills still are drugs. All drugs can have side effects so search reviews on the internet and do your homework before buying.
Whats the lipo 6 then?

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/16/2008 3:17:39 PM | My ex was a body builder and often used hydroxycut, inferno and a whole load of other stuff off the net...... you need to know your stuff or end up making yourself unwell - you need to burn energy after all of this stuff or you can get pretty aggitated If I remember rightly and not good if you have high blood pressure or heart problems or prone to depression . | |
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/16/2008 4:17:20 PM | | Just get some Reductil from your GP. Bloody amazing pills they are. | |
|
| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/17/2008 3:17:40 AM | googled for it
Thermogenic compounds tend to stimulate the central nervous system, like caffeine and ephedrine. Like all supplements/drugs, if not used responsibly, thermogenic products can lead to abusive behavior. Short term use of these products can produce excellent weight loss results; however, long term use can lead to adapted tolerance to these substances leading to little and/or no fat loss benefit. Worse yet, prolonged use can lead to chemical dependence
quick list of Hydroxycut side effects
Increased blood pressure Increased heart rate Headaches, light-headedness and dizziness Loss of appetite (not necessarily bad) Feel restless and hyper active Nose bleeds Blurred vision Out break of acne
Or try the classic way of burning more calories than consumed in food and drink :)

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/17/2008 3:46:04 AM | Eat moderately and healthily, do regular excercise and get good nights sleep also on a regular basis. Limit excess of anything to once in a while. Throw away all supplements and 'miracle products'. They are a waste of time in my opinion (if you have a healthy diet/lifestyle, and if you don't, no amount of supplements is going to improve your well being). Never go on a 'diet'. Complete waste of time. Change your lifestyle and reap the benefits. | |

| Hydroxycut Posted: 5/17/2008 3:56:12 AM | I would avoid. Simply because it's a rip off. I have no doubt this stuff works, the main active ingredient seems to be Pyroxyclene, which I am not familiar with. It also contains caffiene and asprin (white willow bark). At nearly £1 a dose you would be better off sourcing pure ephedrine tablets and making your own ECA (ephedrine caffiene asprin) stack. You can pick up 100 ephedrines for around £15 which will last 6 weeks at 2 a day. Hydroxycut will cost you £30+ for 20 days. Rip off.
Ephedrine is of course now banned, but many products out there contain mau haung and sida cordifolia, which contain ephedrine. Reflex sida will be a better buy than hydroxycut - http://www.bodyactive-online.co.uk/Shopping/PdReflex-SidaCordifolia.asp £20 for 100 caps (50 days)
EDIT - of course there is no substitute for diet and exercise. Dont expect to lose weight while stuffing burgers and kebabs down your throat and sitting on your arse all day. Eat healthy, exercise take lots of fish oil and drink plenty of water with these diet pills and you WILL lose weight.
