| Think/summer....what are your plans for this May longweekend?
Posted: 5/15/2008 7:16:18 PM | | I have not lived in Calgary for that long but the weather has seemed to be, most times, not what we would wish on a May long weekend. But, it does seem that we might have a great one ahead of us....how do you plan to spend it? I will be travelling to the Okanagen myself to visit my folks for major rest and relaxation and alot of tanning. How bout any of you? | |

I bought this fixer upper, and boy, does it ever need fixing. I just reno'd the bathroom, completely by myself. Totally gutted it, toilet, vanity, sink, tiles, everything came out and I started from scratch. It's finally done, looks awesome (well, as awesome as it can with a chick doing reno's! but hey, its far cleaner then it was!)
This weekend I'm laying hardwood in my living room. No idea what i'm doing, but I'll figure it out.
Fun huh? I'd rather be out enjoying myself, but have to clean this house up.

Posted: 5/15/2008 9:35:52 PM | Would like to have went camping. Have a tent, hate it. Thinking of buying a trailer but have to find a guy to drive it. I will learn someday but I promise to let everyone know which highway I am on, so they can stay off of it when I do decide to pull it.

Don't want to stay home BUT have lots to do there. Don't want to tread too far from here, but am itching to see the badlands, the mountains, anything that shows some form of topography. My camera and my imagination await...
Probably a day trip in there somewhere, a day of work around the condo and a day of lounging in the sunshine...that sounds good! | |

Saturday, during the day, I'm heading to Blues on Whyte with IndyGal. We'll probably go to the dance at Duggan Hall on Saturday night. I was even considering hosting a POF event there. They play mostly country, but some old and new rock always gets the crowd going even more. There's a $12 cover charge, but drinks are only a couple of bucks, pop is a dollar and there are free refills on that. It is an older crowd, but I always have fun when I go. Is anyone interested in accompanying me? In the past, on occasion, a group of us have gone out to BP afterward and laughed the night away.
Email me on POF if you are seriously considering going to Duggan Hall (south side on 106th Street and about 40th Ave).

reno party this weekend?
Like Northern Lights it looks like a home improvement weekend. Fences to build/rebuild/repair. Deck to repair. Lots of painting if the weather holds. Of course, nothing like a cold beer on the deck looking over a good afternoons work!
On the plus side, my youngest is planning to head to the lake for the weekend so the house should be quiet.

My dust bunnies have been holding meetings, I think they are planning a coup!
I have neglected any house keeping in the last month or so. Shall get it up to snuff -
and then keep up the normal maintenance so I can have the rest of the summer 'free'.
Walk in the park, brunch on Sunday, perhaps some music tonight, bit of weeding. Nothing formal, just whatever comes up! | |

Posted: 5/16/2008 6:37:01 PM | work work work on saturday,then maybe some time at the trout pond saturday evening catching little swimmy things,then spend Sunday with a good friend of mine and his Fi"ance ( sic? ) whom I just happen to be a grooms man for on the halloween wedding they are having....then spend Monday helping another buddy out to clean and polish his Tahoe for his wedding at the end of the month which I am the best Man for...

O.T.Working Friday adn Saturday, volunteering on Sunday, then lunch at the usual 9th Ave. location, and may try to get my yard done on Monday!!

No big excitement for me this weekend. Yard work, house work, more packing and prepping for the move, last bit of painting in my bathroom. Hopefully enough time to work a couple of horses. And hiding from all the insane long weekenders who invade for the rodeo here! | |

Maybe watch some movies, head to the kings head saturday night for the Council, maybe some quading with a co worker on sunday. Sleep is my only guarantee this weekend | |
