| whats it mean TO ME? Posted: 5/15/2008 8:46:11 PM | If someone knows my IP address..
I had to allow someone to network with me to assist with some issues and now am wondering if this person has access to all my stuff although I had to accept the network request.
Can I block networking?

I have had remote connections enabled to help the guy I bought the PC off sort out some issues, when it was all finished, the facility got disabled
You can block networking, but as it will probably block the net as well, not much use
Of more use is a non standard and long password on the router, if using wireless, then needs encryption

Appreciate the response ;)

You could go into your services and turn off remote help and go into your firewall settings and delete the remote connection options.
Hope this helps.

I appreciate the advice.
